This was a great find for my family and I in Hawaii. After exhausting hours looking for multiple hotel rooms I recalled renting a home and redirected my search. Of all that were available Ocean View seemed the best fit for size, location and value. After staying there those items were confirmed. The views are unbelievable and exactly like the pictures. The house was "hospital clean" with every convenience provided. 3 complete bedrooms,3 full baths, fully stocked kitchen, beach gear, snorkeling equipment, wi-fi, daily paper, washer/dryer, etc. I can't imagine the savings those items alone provided. Plus!!! You are minutes from any destination. I would definitely stay there again over any hotel.

A home away from home that has everything you need...and more!. This place rally is a gem, we loved the clean and comfortable interior, and the view from the deck was just breathtaking. Every item that you could possibly need on a vacation, they've thought of it, from Beach toys to board games, its all there. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, and would definately stay again. Big Thanks to Lara!

This home has everything you need to have a fantastic family vacation. The house is super clean, well stocked with everyday essentials like cookware, towels and sports equipment. The view from the deck is from Diamond Head to Honolulu! At night, it is beautiful. The owners description of this home was exactly as we found it when we arrived. This home is centrally located and within easy driving distance of all activities. If you are going to Hawaii, Ihighly recommend you stay here!!

Just recently stayed at Lara and Glen's place in Oahu. I just can't say enough about it. The view from the balcony is awesome, you could sit there and stare off into the distance for hours!
The accommodations were wonderful and inviting. Our party included myself, my husband, my 81 year old father and my two sons (20 and 22). My father stayed in the downstairs bedroom which included its own bathroom and small kitchenette with sink, microwave, and small refrigerator. My 20 year old slept on one of the pull out couches and said it was very comfortable.
The amenities are amazing with a well stocked kitchen with many appliances for your use. We did not have young children, but Lara has the place well equipped with items such as sleeping cots, high chair, stroller, etc. There are also various toys, chairs, umbrellas and towels for your use on the beach! Nice to know you don't have to bring all those items with you.
Knowing we would have use of a washer and dryer was also a plus so we knew we could pack light. There are hills you go up to get to this rental. The driveway is steep and took my husband some getting used to especially since we rented a minivan. Having said that, you would not have these awesome views without it. Definitely worth it, I would recommend this rental to my friends and family!

We stayed here (2 adults, 1 child) for 8nts april-May 2012. I was so impressed with so many amenities: the well stocked kitchen,K-cup coffee machine, beach toys, cooler, welcome basket, chilled drinks on arrival, laundry facilities, internet and printer access. It really did feel like coming home after a great day out. The beds are comfortable, sheets soft and plush towels. Best house we have rented to date! We would definitely rent again when we are back to honolulu. The location was so central to everything- parking was expected to be a little tricky from other reviewers so we were not at all phased by the steep driveway. That's the only way you could have such an amazing view! If i had to pick something to be fixed- carpet is dated but that is a minor thing considering all the pluses. Lara was great- loved getting the paper every morning so I could enjoy a coffee on the balcony. We caught the fireworks on our last night and it was unbelievable -could hear them too!

Perfect vacation rental. We travelled with 4 adults and 2 children. The home was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more (e.g., washer, dryer, beach toys, BBQ, Wii, Wi-fi, beach towels, etc). The view from the balcony was also breath taking as it overlooks Wiakiki and diamond head.

After enjoying the view from the lanai both day and night, and dining and relaxing outside, you'll really be sorry when you have to go home. The house has everything imaginable for you to use for beach activities, cooking, planning your outings, music, tv & movies, internet, newspaper, magazines & books, tropical bath supplies, laundry, and baby gear. A fun and comfortable place for both adults and kids. The owners were always available (but never intrusive) for information, advice and for any other issues.

Great place, the location was close enough to Waikiki but definitely not walkable in the hot heat. The place was clean and spacious in certain areas but the upstairs was a bit cramped with all the pull out beds and furniture around. Everything was available for use, they had a great bbq and great views of Diamond Head. The hosts were very helpful in every sense. It helped that there was laundry amenities and they provide you with beach towels. A lot of problems with internet but who's there to hop on the internet the entire time right?! Definitely would stay there again!

Our daughter recently got married in Oahu and we wanted a place to stay that felt like our home away from home. This is exactly what we found!! Luckily we found this place-we frequently go to Oahu and this is definitely the best place we've ever stayed!! From the welcome basket to all the amenities you enjoy at home--we were very impressed and happy with everything that was provided at this vacation rental. Lara was an excellent hostess, making sure we were comfortable. She even gave us a bottle of champagne in celebration of our daughter's wedding!! Great place, great location and amazing view of Honolulu!! Thank you!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lara's place. Gracious hosts most helpful yet unobtrusive .Much appreciated the welcome package etc. The house is 3 bedroom 3 bathroom 3 toilet fully self contained,with spectacular views over the city. Ideally suited to a family or older cpuple. Clean tidy etc.Thoroughly recommend and would have no hesitation is staying there again

Having your vacation home on the hillside is nice. It was peaceful being off the main drag of the city and not having the noise of a busy hotel room. The views overlooking the city, college, and Diamond Head were awesome. It was great to be able to eat breakfast and watch the sunrise in the mornings on the lanai, as well as, watch the sunsets and finish the day with a drink of wine on the lanai. The housewarming gifts in the basket were wonderful. We also enjoyed watching the fireworks on New Years' Eve. I would most strongly recommend this vacation home to any of my family or friends. I stayed at the unit with my husband and parents from both sides and we had an awesome time. Check in was smooth and the view from the balcony took our breath away and it was exactly as what was described on the vrbo site. The kichen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils and seasonings. We enjoyed the wii games in the living room and spent quality family time there. The grill was easy to use and we were able to cook a big dinner as well. The only negative i can think of is the steep driveway although the house won't have such a fantanstic view if it were high up.

We stayed a week for our family vacation. Lara greeted us with aloha smile and very welcoming :D
Location was excellent also. Just few minutes away from Waikiki but far enough from the noise. We are pleasantly surprised with amenities that Lara provided upon our arrivals and thru out our stay. If we had any questions, they were right on it and it was very helpful.
We would recommend to anyone who is looking for a multi family/ group. I would definitely stay there again :D

Lara and Glen were very helpful and welcoming during our stay at this house. The best things about this unit are the amazing views and the amenities that was available to us including some toiletries, kitchen equipment and supplies, beach towels, and more. We really appreciated the welcome basket and felt that it exemplified Hawaiian hospitality.

The owners made sure that everything was taken care of during our stay. The welcome basket was an unexpected treat that we had never received at other rental condos on all of the Hawaiian islands. The unit is located right in the center of Honolulu, far away from the traffic and noise of Waikiki. The view of Diamondhead Volcano is excellent, and there is a partial view of the ocean as well. We would cerainly stay here again when visiting Honolulu.

My wife and I were fortunate to take her 85 year old aunt for her first visit to Hawaii after five previous tries. The visit was exceptional.
Glen and Lara have a wonderful residence with a spectacular view. Their amentities includes maps, books, recommendations and a gift basket that was beyond what we expect.
The residence was well equiped and well maintained.
Parking is limited and accessiblity for handicapped or senior citizens could be an issue. Aunt Flo, at 85 handled it well.
I would highly recommend this facilty for your vacation or visit to Oahu. The view you see in the marketing information is what you see from the back deck.

Our stay at the Sweeping Ocean/Diamond Hd Vw Home, was amazing. The house has plenty of room for the eight of us which included two families with our teenagers. The home is well maintained with everything that you need to have a great vacation. The owners were courtious and great hosts. We would definitly stay there again.

The house was very clean, had everything we needed for two families. There is more than enough room for the eight of us. The host, Lara and her husband were very gracious and never bothered us for anything. There are great places to eat at reasonalbe rates within walking distance. This section of Honolulu has great hiking trails that go up the mountain behind the home. It is very quiet in this area and the views are amazing.
All in all a great time and wonderful home to stay in. -

This home is incredible! From the moment we walked in, we were already impressed with the decor and space! And then we saw the view! What an amazing view! It overlooks the whole Waikiki skyline and Diamond Head -especially spectacular after sunset! And we saw fireworks one evening! I could sit on the deck for hours, enjoy the nice breeze and birds chirping. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful hostess Lara and a gift basket of wine, chocolate, fruits, postcards, album and a meditation CD (I love the meditation CD)! The hosts' attention to detail really show that they are thinking about their guests. This home is equipped with everything one would need - binoculars, underwater camera, snorkel gear, inner tubes, cooler, beach mats and towels, all your kitchen appliances and equipment, outdoor grill, nice linens and bedding, flat screen TVs, Roku and Netflix, WII console, boardgames. You name it! There is nothing missing; all you would need are your clothes. It is conveniently located near Waikiki, Chinatown, Aloha Stadium flea market, Manoa falls, and beaches! I know I must sound pretty unbelievable with all the exclamation points and superlatives, but it is all true. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Oahu.

Lara is a very warm and considerate owner, who understands what tourists would need when staying out. She had literally everything you need ready in the apartment, e.g. Cds, everything you need for beach and snorkering, coffees and basic food for your first day like cereal & instant noodles. Superb view of the Diamond Head Crater and Manoa Valley from lanai (patio) which will definitely make a tourist's stay in hi unforgettable.

Lara and Glen were very gracious hosts during our one week stay. The accommodations were very comfortable for our family of five, (3 teens), and we quickly felt right at home. Everything was well thought out and things were where you needed them to be. The space was roomy enough, especially the lanai, for when we all wanted to be together but also everyone had a quiet place of their own, (if they desired). The view from the lanai is magnificent to say the least. We must have at least 50 family photos with it as the back drop! The BBQ worked well and once again, everything is right there ... utensils, even a sink! The huge movie selection was great to entertain the kids in the evenings so we could enjoy the lanai in peace as we watched the city lights, (and the Friday fireworks). Negatives ... can't think of any!! We had a great time.

We really appreciated the lanai which offers an amazing view of the city and coastline. The whole house is comfortable with many amenities. The climate control and lighting in the living room was well above our expectations :) We had a lot of fun playing the Wii. Lara and Glen were very helpful. We all really enjoyed our stay.
