Pleasantly perched on the quiet slopes of Aina Haina valley, this hideaway home has endless views of the ocean to the tropical valley walls where this all comes together. The area's climate is very moderate and is less than a mile from the Aina Haina Shopping Center. Aina Haina is just a few miles from Kahala, Diamond Head and Waikiki going west and about the same distance in the opposite direction to Hawaii Kai, both prestigious areas with great hiking, swimming, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling, jet ski, scuba diving and parasailing. Aina Haina sits between both areas and in it's own right is a fantastic community of Hawaiian style living.

Located on the end of a quiet cul de sac in family style Hawaiian neighborhood with on site parking for three cars. One mile away is a small shopping center with groceries, surfboard rentals, cafes and more. Two miles away is a shopping mall with Whole Foods, Macy's and more. This house is centrally located, minutes from beaches in every direction. To the East is world famous Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach and Makapuu, to the West is Waikiki, Diamond Head and beyond.

Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in January 2013
My son made the reservation for all of us as he found the listing and it was very easy to find upon arrival. My relatives live in the valley next and traveling there was very fast. There is a supermarket just before the highway that connects the valleys so availability of food was not an issue. We were five the first day/night and my brother and his wife joined us the following evening. A nephew stayed one night on the fourth night. The day we arrived the owners met us at the house and are two of the most friendly and cordial people anyone could meet. Because the property and house is at the end of the street there is no other houses next to it behind where the deck is located. The landscape is new and done well. A gas fired BBQ was there for us to use but most our meals there were for breakfast only. Other meals were always elsewhere. A good working coffee pot was there and all we did was to pick up some Kona coffee to provide our morning wake up nudge. There was enough hot water for our showers and we used the clothes washer and dryer on a couple of occasions. Did I mention the view? It looks better than the pictures depict and is fantastic at night to just sit and contemplate with one's favorite beverage. It was a perfect place for us to stay.
