My friends and I stayed here for a week in april of 2011. It was situated next to just about everything, which was fantastic! It was clean and still surprisingly spacious for three people! Two of us shared a bed, and Elaine was kind enough to offer us an extra futon so someone could crash on the floor.
There was cutlery, cups, bowls, plates, pots and pans for us to use and even some things to take the the beach!
One of the best perks was having our own kitchen and our own washing machine. The view was incredibly stunning, and the pool and hot tub on top were other amazing perks.
One down side was we got the wrong code for our room, and we couldn't access our room until really late at night. We're from Canada, so using our cellphones in Hawaii was extremely costly in our attempts to try and find out the real code! -

This was our 7th trip to Hawaii in 39 yrs & 1st experience renting a private condo. We lucked out when Elaine got a cancellation due to illness & only had a month to arrange our 12/31/11 - 1/31/12 visit. I won't do a hotel in Hawaii ever again! I didn't really miss maid service - tidying up the space and washing sheets & towels was easy enough with the small washer/dryer in the unit. We're coming back January 2014.
Elaine's 20th floor unit was immaculate & fully equipped with more than we needed. She was available by phone to answer the few questions we had. Sunrise over Diamond Head on the lanai was wonderful for me and we both enjoyed watching the canoes on the canal below, the mountains on the left, and the ocean view to the right. The fish in the canal will eat any food you toss in the water. The buildings across the street are lower, so the view was more than I expected. 360 degree view on the 29th floor pool deck was amazing.
We got breakfast at the bakery a couple of blocks away each day, packed our lunches & headed out by 9 to explore the coastline. If you get downstairs early enough in the morning, a free local newspaper was available on the "library" book shelf in the lobby. The included assigned parking was a major plus (hotels charge $15-20/day or more). The Food Pantry on the corner was handy, but more expensive than the grocery stores out of town. We made use of the grills on the roof deck a few times, but ate dinner out most of the time - found some great meals at bars & Early Bird Specials within a few blocks in either direction - all of Waikiki is within a few blocks, easily walkable. Waikiki Beach is a 5 minute walk if you want to people watch. The security staff was always on watch & very courteous. The common areas were kept exceptionally clean by the staff, including the garbage room down the hall. The building was very quiet - didn't hear next door or upstairs neighbors at all. The room stayed cool at night with the sliding doors open & the ceiling fan on - didn't run the a/c at all. We met a lovely couple from Canada across the hall who have spent Jan & Feb in the same unit for the past 7 years.

We truly enjoyed our stay! Right from the ease of getting into the unit, to the great security staff, to the cleanliness of the unit, everything was fantastic!
With a grocery store at the end of the block and the beach only a 5 minute walk away, the location is superb.
We had our damage deposit back 2 days after we arrived home.
Would definitely recommend this rental unit to anyone.
We plan on taking more trips to Waikiki and hope this place will be available.
