Sights & Sounds is an exceptional new villa, located on a lush two-acre parcel in the quiet and uniquely private, Hope Estate.  The expansive ocean views from this hilltop sanctuary are some of the best on the island. You’ll see the nearby islands of Balliceaux, Battowia and Mustique as you look out across the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.  From this vantage point, it is not unheard of to witness a mother whale and her calf frolicking in the watery playground below.  If you close your eyes you will hear birds chirping and tree frogs singing... along with the rhythmic pounding of waves as they crash into Hope Bay, thus the name, Sights & Sounds.

The architect of Sights & Sounds is Beyer Binder Belle of New York City. World renowned Architects for many landmark buildings in New York, London and Washington DC, as well as premier homes.

This is an ideal property for discerning clients looking to avoid commercial areas and enjoy wonderful seclusion with a special ambiance, sophisticated interior design and world class build quality.

The heart of this 6000 square-foot property is the great room, which encompasses the living and dining areas.  This room literally “opens” up to the views through a series of five large tri-fold doors located on three sides of the room all leading to a generously-sized covered veranda - seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor living space.

The living area is cool and light, with a spectacular vaulted Brazilian Ipe wood ceiling and architecturally designed Ipe floors. The room is elegantly and comfortably furnished with two over-sized white sofas, tables, lounge chairs and ottomans.   A perfect place to retire at the end of a busy day and enjoy the ocean breezes while playing cards or board games with the family.

Please note that there is no TV at this villa.

Kitchen and dining areas

Sights & Sounds has the ultimate entertaining and workspace for the aspiring chef.  This large well-appointed professional kitchen has high-end stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.

A walk-in pantry stores a variety of small appliances and festive dinnerware.

A large center island is the perfect place for guests to gather with a glass of wine while dinner is being prepared.

Whatever the mood or the weather, guests can choose from three separate dining areas within Sights & Sounds.

The indoor dining area features a large mahogany dining table (seats 10) with fantastic ocean views.

Furnished with Balinese sun loungers, market umbrellas and plantation

chairs, this is the perfect retreat for soaking up the afternoon sun or

enjoying a romantic evening on a double chase while sipping wine under

the stars.

Enjoy the outside spaces and dine alfresco

Outdoors by the lighted pool there is a covered dining area so choose to dine alfresco or dine at a candlelit table under the stars.

down.

Sights & Sounds offers 2 luxurious air-conditioned bedrooms with a relaxing atmosphere - all with ocean views. Each bedroom opens out onto a private veranda – all with sun loungers and seating - a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.

On the lower level, the bedroom layout is very spacious and

well suited for family 2 adults and 2 children.

The twin bed portion of the room can be

separated by a  screen

for privacy. The Twins can also be made into a bunk bed and it is decorated in fresh, Caribbean colors.

There is also a pack n' play portable crib available if needed.

The private guesthouse is steps away from the main residence and features its own kitchenette it can be rented as part of Sights & Sounds Estate rental.

Sights & Sounds has custom made and removable safety barriers to surround the pool and balcony areas if required.

  Trouble in Paradise

  My friends and I rented the cottage and the main house for two weeks but had to leave a week early because a thief robbed the cottage and attempted to rob the main house during the day while we were sun bathing in the pool area. The location of this house is on Hope Estates, which is very remote and while there are great views, it was the perfect place for a thief. We were vigilant about locking our valuables in the cabinet that the owner recommended but the robber simply broke the lock. The scary part was that not only were we at the pool area but the staff was present and the car was parked in the drive way. None of this detered the thief. We locked all doors and the gate in the evening before bed but we had no idea that we needed to stay behind locked doors during the day. Although, according to the police, the thief climbed the fence to access the property. The owner, refused to reimburse us for the unused week but we felt vulnerable and unsafe in the house. In addition the owner knew of the robbery prior to us leaving and did not offer any additional security options. This house was has serious security issues!

  Spent our 25th wedding anniversary at Sights and Sounds. It was wonderful!! We didn't want to leave the property. The house has the most gorgeous private setting, very comfortable outdoor seating, picturesque infinity pool, and beautiful/immaculately clean interior. The house staff, Felix and Joy were very kind. Could not of had a more wonderful anniversary. We were happy to just sit and read and look at the view for hours. Just what my husbanded needed to relax and get away from work. There is not one thing negative about our stay.

  A Great Escape

  We could not think of a better way to spend New Years, than in the Grenadines with great friends and family coupled with the friendliness of the island. This was our second visit to Bequia and stay at Sights & Sounds.
  
  The Villa:
  Everything you could want and more. Our group was comprised of two familes of four, which included three 5 year olds. The villa layout is fantastic and complimented by high end appliances, beautiful and comfortable furnishings as well as every bell and whistle you could need. Nothing about our accomodations said "rental property." This is truly a luxury property with all the conveniences and comforts of home. Each day started with a great breakfast that included fresh fruit from the property collected by the house staff and then the difficult decision of whether to go to a new beach or stay on the property and enjoy all of the amenities / conveniences of the villa. Many days were spent lounging around both pools with the kids, preparing a rotisserie chicken on the grill and enjoying cold Hairouns from St Vincent. The saltwater pools--- a plunge pool that waterfalls into an infinity pool which melts into the bay below--will erase any and every stress you may have had. In addition, the pools have great optional gating that provided us peace of mind with our young children. The location on the hill side allowed us spectacular views and pleasant winds. The outdoor showers with waterfall showerheads feel so great after a day on the beach. The villa is set up for entertaining and accomodates a large group while still providing everyone with plenty of space. I dozed off many nights while laying on a lounge chair, star gazing and listening to the sounds of the tree frogs.. Truly relaxing... The house staff were nothing short of first class and super friendly.
  
  Bequia- Great, uncrowded beaches coupled with friendly locals, beach bars and quality restaurants. The island is small enough so a traveler can become familiar with the whole Island quickly while exploring a new beach every day.
  
  We are looking forward to making Bequia and Sights & Sounds an annual event!

  amazing property

  The villa was incredible. However it's more geared towards couples or families w/ young children. Singles or families w/ teens may want to pursue other options as in town young teen girls especially when wearing swimwear may need to be protected from cat-calling locals. Thanks so much for an eye opening stay.
