Escape to our secluded vineyard rental in the small town of Hopland in Mendocino County. A great alternative to a hotel, this 2 bed, 2 bath house is nestled at the base of Duncan Peak overlooking Terra Savia Winery's 35 acre certified organic vineyard and a large portion of Hopland's Sanel Valley.

I just spent the weekend with friends in the charming rental home at Terra Savia winery in Hopland. It was idyllic! Spacious and beautifully decorated, the bedrooms and living area enjoy views of acres and acres of vineyards. The weather was perfect and the hot tub was a real plus. The wine and olive oil sold at the winery are exquisite...I bought a case of each! There are 16 wineries in Hopland. We visited and enjoyed five of them, but the wine at Terra Savia was definitely our favorite. A real getaway, but only a couple of hours from the city!

Bay Area CAI Don't Really Want to Tell anybody about This One...

because it will be harder to get a reservation, once everyone finds out! My wife and I stayed here the Saturday before Valentines Day. What an ideal setting, on the far side of an organic vineyard just off Hwy 101 in Hopland, within a few miles of a dozen winery tasting rooms and an organic olive oil company. After checking in at Olivino, we drove along a dirt road around the side and back of the vineyard to the rental house. This was the winemaker's home for 15 years and has been completely renovated and lovingly and tastefully decorated with custom-made wooden furniture, antiques and original art from the owners' extensive collection. Even the interior design seems to have been composed as in a painting. The immaculate kitchen is fully equipped, just like your own kitchen at home. There are two bedrooms which sleep four people; it is not suitable for larger parties. There is a heater as well as a wood stove in the living room. Outside on the deck, or indeed from any window, the views are gorgeous: a half-mile of vineyards to Hwy 101, far enough to be inaudible to my sensitive ears, and green country all around - no other houses in sight, with complete privacy. There is a small ourdoor hot tub and above-ground pool, and a pond a short hike away on the property. At night the stars in the black sky are spectacular, and in the early morning a light fog rose from the ground to obscure everything more than 100 yards away - as if we were on an island. What a wonderful place!

A group of friends and I took a trip to Hopland for their passport day and were completely satisfied with our stay at the Terra Savia Guest House. We stargazed at night in the spacious yard, and watched the sunrise from the dining room table in the morning.
It's a perfect place to retreat to after a long day of wine tasting, tucked away on a quiet plot overlooking the Terra Savia vineyards.
The guest house has spacious rooms, a large shower and tub, plenty of parking, a piano, a fireplace, full kitchen, fenced-in back yard with a lawn, etc. The house offers all you'd need for a family get away, a romantic escape, or a group wine tasting trip. -

We were only able to enjoy the house with friends one night, but we will certainly be back. The house was spotless, the yard was beautiful, and the winery was a kick to visit. It's a short drive or a long walk to downtown.
