This semi detached cottage is located near to Hornsea in East Yorkshire and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Daffodil Cottage is a semi detached cottage on the owners’ smallholding, four miles from Hornsea in East Yorkshire. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin room and a family bathroom. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. Outside the cottage is plenty of off road parking, an internal atrium area and a communal garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. With its neighbouring cottage, Daffodil Cottage can sleep a total of ten pe...ople in this lovely part of East Yorkshire.

Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi, telephone (incoming calls only). All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Communal use of internal atrium with furniture and grounds with garden furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Pub 10 mins walk, shop 4 miles.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Claustrophobic and cold!

  This property should have rated much higher! The position is beautiful; and if you have kids; which we don't plenty of areas to play and explore! So why claustrophobic? If your not one for communal living; or you like a bit of privacy; then it probably not the place for you!There is a communal hallway; but the problem is that each cottage over looks the living room of the cottage opposite; giving one the feeling that either someone is watching you; or you are being watched!Then of course if you are sitting watching TV; the kids keep running by; looking in your room! Now if your a family; who lives life as if nobody else matters; this will be great for you; if you thought you was coming to idyllic private cottage; then you might be disappointed!May be if it was screened off one might feel a little better! Now it may have been June; but it was a very cold June; and the heating only came on in the morning and early evening for a few hours! The problem was that it was set so low; that it hardly came on at all; so the place never warmed up! Now we were told that we could ask if it got too cold; which makes you think; why should you have to! Heating should be controlled by the guest! After all everyone is different; and I personally don't like sitting in jumpers in doors! You might say that the settees were adequate without being comfortable; but overall the decor was good; as were the beds; except the singles were a little small! Mobile phone signal was little if none existent; and the free Wifi worked on occasions; but like the heating was rare! You know; that with a few little tweaks; this place would have 5 stars! The owners were fantastic; and really put a lot of effort into the property; and maybe we should have expressed our concerns while we were there; rather than keep quite! Please don't judge by our standards; its a nice place really; just don't expect total peace and privacy; it's communal by design! Just needs a few things to make it welcoming for everyone!

  Friendly owners, very helpful.The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped.This was our first visit to this area and we found many interesting places e.g.Bridlington,Beverley and Withersea and villages along the coast and inland.Hornsea Mere is well worth a visit--- even in winter.The Outlet is good for those who enjoy shopping.There is easy shopping for food and fuel at Tesco in Hornsea.
