Description from the owner

Experience a rural, quiet and relaxed atmosphere while being in Horta city centre. Our small self-catering traditional house was totally rebuilt in 2011 keeping its rustic appearance but improving its comfort. It has 2 queen size beds in the upper mezannine, a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV and free wireless internet. Heating is provided by an old style wood burning stove. An outside barbecue and an inside traditional wood-fired oven are available for using. While you have the feeling of being away from everything, the house is located in the city centre within walking distance from many convenient places: the vegetable and fish market (3 m...Read more

      Beautiful Little House

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This little house was very comfortable. It is within walking to town but still gives you a country feeling. It is very close to a cute beach (without Jellyfish) and the Express boat to Pico. You can also walk to a bakery, butcher and outdoor vegatable/fruit market. It has everything you need. The owners are very nice and try to accomodate special requests. The upstairs has low ceiling (ok for short people) but this was used only for sleeping anyways. It was a great value for all it offers. Much better than being right downtown.

      kindness, quietness and simplicity

Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Very kind reception by the owner. The home is beautifully rebuilt in the traditional, simple, local way but has all the modern facilities and very nice interior arquitectural solutions.
It is surrounded by green gardens and located about 15 minutes walking distance from the center. The walk along the water front, overlooked by the magnificent Pico island, passing by the colorful marina, is very pleasant!
We specially enjoyed the quietness of the home and the taste on its decoration.
We didn't like the very steep stairs to the mezzanine and that we could not stand up there.
