Wonderful visit to Creek View Cabin in Hot Springs

Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012

I stayed at Creek View cabin over Thanksgiving weekend and only wish my stay could have been longer. The views from the cabin are beautiful. The cabin was clean and was very accommodating. Bill & Liz were so nice. I definitely want to go back. If you enjoy the outdoors, you'll love Creek View cabin & it's surroundings. Hot Springs is such a charming town. I enjoyed visitng the artisun Gallery and other shops. Didn't have time to visit the actual hot springs but plan to on my next visit.

      A Slice of Heaven

Left on 09/22/2012 for a stay in July 2012

My wife and I had a wonderful, if too short, visit at Heaven's Place, and we couldn't recommend it more to anyone looking to relax, enjoy the surroundings, enjoy each other, and just "be."

"Cozy" can sometimes be code for "cramped" but the house could easily accommodate four and the two full baths eliminate any awkward traffic jams you might encounter at other places.

The house was so comfortable, so clean and had an open feel to it. You could never go outside and still have a relaxing stay, but the setting makes that a moot point. The rushing waters of the stream provide beautiful background music, while Bluff Mountain by day and the stars overheard by night add their own beauty. And the hammock on the stream bank that is completely secluded yet close to the house is a special treat.

We very much enjoyed the extra care Bill and Liz took in outfitting the house. Fresh linens and towels, having the spices, condiments and dressings already on hand, and the original artwork decorating the house are things that are rarely offered but always appreciated.

Being so close to the Max Patch Bald and the appalachian Trail gave me what I hope is not a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore them, and a rafting excursion on the French Broad was another highlight of the trip. Heaven's Place's location really gives you the opportunity to do as much or as little as you wish.

We were in the area attending events in Greeneville, Tenn. Our hope was to simply enjoy some scenery while avoiding a dreary hotel stay. s We left with much more than that!

      Home away From Home

Left on 08/28/2012 for a stay in August 2012

A very clean cabin. It feels like you walked into someone's home. There are knick nacks about, original art work on the walls and cleaning supplies and paper goods. They supply everything which is good since a major grocery store is 45 minutes. You are close to the main road but a good 20 minutes from Hot Springs. Get used to driving s turns before you come, there are plenty. A very relaxing location, there are cows out the screened porch and Bluff Mountain off the main balcony. You can grill or use the fire pit if you don't want to use the gas stove or drive into town for a meal. The WiFi worked great, a land line phone is provided which was good since our cell phones did not work. We even kept up with football on the Satellite TV.

Great Spot; Great Owners; Terrific Time in Hot Springs

Left on 08/04/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Bill and Liz have created a perfect spot to explore the myriad activities available in Hot Springs. The cabin is immaculate;fully stocked - just bring essentials like food you can't live without.
The grocery shopping is limited but many little stops to pick up something here and there. Asking in town elicits a variety of options!
There is an incredible information book provided in the cabin; and of course the owners a block away. The views are awesome; the creek cool and fun to explore - and a hammock if you just want to chill.
We loved meeting Bill and Liz and envy the lifestyle of chilling in the mountains of NC...many artistic touches abound; both are artists and seeing their studios is a plus.
A great stay was had by our labrador who found the accommodations to her liking and friends everywhere we ventured. Highly recommended.

They have everything - and More!

Left on 07/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012

What a great cabin! Located next to a fast moving creek that you can hear from your bedroom, this cabin has everything - linen, wifi, laundromat and dryer, charcoal and grill, firepit and wood. Porch overlooking the creek, screened porch overlooking the fields. And stocked with all of the things you might forget, and some you never thought off. Plus condiments, to make food packing so much easier. Then there is a notebook full of local information and sites. A great value for the price!

      Relaxing Getaway

Left on 07/18/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We liked this place so much, we rearranged our schedule to stay an extra day. We want to go back to enjoy it at different times of the year. If you appreciate nature, quiet, and beauty, this is your place. Nestled in lush forest with a mountain view and a bubbling stream, Creek View Cabin is a private little gem. With a screened porch on one side and an open deck on the other, you can choose your spot for relaxing. Bill and Liz were very accommodating and provided everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and then left us alone to our private retreat. The drive to asheville is scenic but if you want to stay in the area, the Trust General Store and Cafe has great, fresh food prepared by Chef Cliff. His pulled pork BBQ and fresh peach pie are a must! If you're visiting during blueberry season, take advantage of the fresh berries at the general store! We can't wait to return to Creek View Cabin.
