Butterfly Farm is placed in the Blue Ridge Mountains between two magnificently flowing streams that can be heard from almost anywhere on the property including the cabin.

The best is the spring fed pond which has been carefully designed as a healing pond. It is built on a huge granit shelf which offers a grounding charge to the spring fed water as it flows across it to feed this beautiful pond. The water circulates the precise amount of times in an hour to maintain the perfect combination or mineral charge, grounding energy, and restorative properties. As well as offering extremely clean and purified water to have either a healing swim... or soak, or simply a shoes off transformational grounding experience standing on the granite rock itself as the rushing water from the stream rushes over your feet.

There is an old barn, lots of native wild flowers and herbs, five different types of fruit bearing trees and bushes, several planted gardens to enjoy in the spring and fall, lots of rocks to hang out on, not to mention the colorful change of the leaves in the autumn and peaceful silence of a winter snow fall.

There is a secret deck built over the very place that the two streams meet, a spot that has to be experienced to get the true impact of the powerful energy that nature creates for all who join her there. In addition to the “secret deck” there is an open deck looking out towards the majestic blue ridge for dinning and a covered porch for sipping your morning coffee. There is natural hiking all over the property and plenty of spots for communing, contemplating, and romancing. Whatever your heart’s desire.

The owner of the cabin is an interior designer in New York City and has recently renovated and decorated it to have a cozy, modern, nostalgic feeling. From new hardwood floors, to bead-board walls and ceilings that are painted soft soothing colors, to modern and curious materials, appointments, and lighting. You will love the cozy simplicity of each room including: A country kitchen, what it does not have in glamorous design is made up by having all you need to cook a great holiday meal, beautiful dishes and accoutrements; Martha Stewart would be envious! The living room with wood burning stove and dining room table has a comfortable “L shaped” sofa that can easily seat 8 people for a good movie. The bathroom has new retro hardware including a rain-shower. Each bedroom is uniquely inspired with a different feeling. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a lattice headboard and a pull out sofa, the room has a nostalgic old-fashioned feeling to it. There is an upstairs room known as “the poppy room” which offers a double bed with an antique metal frame combined with modern appointments.
