nottinghamNo words to describe the sheer fabulousness of this place!
Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My husband and I stayed here with our toddler for a week in July and were blown away by how beautiful and well-equipped the house was and how attentive and accomodating Kiya was.
The house itself has just featured in a house magazine and one can see why. The decor is so stylish without feeling too modern or stilted. There is so much space and we instantly felt very comfortable in the house. There are many mod cons in the well-equipped kitchen,2 massive TVs downstairs and even though the previous renters had broken the sound system the owners immediately rectified this by replacing the music system so we could have music.
The outside space is lovely and this is definitely a house that can suit all, couples/families etc.
In terms of how we were looked after by the owner, I can honestly say that there are few to match Kiya's friendliness and attention to detail. She even dropped off some additional organic toiletries later in the evening because I had remarked on how lovely it was to have such lovely products in the bathroom.
In short, this house is the sort of house you will settle in very quickly and never want to leave!
You can tell, we loved it! -

We all loved Westbourne Gardens and I can't recommend staying there enough!! It's such a beautiful yet cosy and comfortable house and the garden is amazing too. We had the luxury of a hot, sunny weekend so we got to lie around with cold drinks and a bbq in the garden on the Saturday evening but I also had the luxury of one of my friends being an awesome cook so we all sat very comfortably around the big table in the dining area having a wonderful meal with candlelight and bubbles on the Friday night! Jo and Kiya were so attentive and I got almost immediate replies from Jo to every query/email. I left my ipod in the house and as soon as I got in touch with Kiya to tell her she sent it recorded delivery on the same day, at no cost to me. Wonderful service and I hope to go back at some point in the not too distant future...

This property was booked for my friends hen weekend and we had an absolutely fab weekend. The house was so nice we could have just stayed in all weekend! It was very spacious and was very spacious for all 10 of us.
Would definately recommend this property to a friend and am desperately thinking of another occasion to warrant booking again!!! -

BristolFantastic house although poor check in and very limited parking
Left on 05/12/2011 for a stay in April 2011
I recently stayed at the house with 10 other friends for a hen weekend. We were told that we could check in at 3pm but we didn't actually get the house until 6.30pm as the owner hadn't finished cleaning it. This was a bad start given that we had all driven 3 hours to get there. Whilst we could stay in the garden whilst she was finishing the house off, we certainly felt uncomfortable and we just wanted to get settled and start enjoying the weekend!
There were also dirty cups and glasses on the side which we had to clear before we started.
We also hadn't been told that there was only parking for 2 small cars. Anymore and you either had to pay on the road (£4 for 4 hours i recall) or park a mile away. This certainly wasn't ideal for us as we had 5 cars!
However, putting this aside, the house is FaB! It certainly fit us all in and the entertaining room downstairs is great for the evenings when there is a large group. The garden is lovely and it was certainly used as the sun shon all weekend. We did notice that the remnants of a BBQ from the last people remained in the BBQ area which didn't bother us but we would have expected it to have been cleared by the cleaners/owner before our arrival.
It is also quite a walk into Brighton (certainly further that we had anticipated). I was told that it was a 20 minute walk but it was more like 40 mins. However, as the weather was nice, it didn't bother us although i'm sure on a rainy day we wouldn't have been so understanding!
I would certainly recommend the house to a large group of people. Just don't expect to get in at 3pm, take limited cars and be prepared to drive into Brighton.

Owner
Hi there and thanks for taking the time to review.
There are certainly a lot of points which we can improve upon here and I will take note of your comments and also feedback to the owner accordingly. Unfortunately there was a major unexpected leak from the boiler on the day you arrived which needed to be addressed and this delayed the preparation of the house. I apologise that this happened and understand it would have burst your initial excitement bubble. Although it didn't make up for the late check-in, the owner brought bottles of champagne in way of compensation for your inconvenience.
An email I sent at 22:16 on 28/4/11 confirms there was only parking for "two small or one large car" and I also provided a link to a handy website which shows all the closest car parks. Parking is a problem in Brighton & Hove and off-street parking for even one car is considered gold dust!! I always recommend taking the train if possible because of the above, and I also gave the best train routes to the house in another email although I know public transport can be a pain with a lot of luggage.
Regarding the walk, Brighton & Hove are classified as one city nowadays, so the boundary is sketchy. It takes about 20 mins to get into Brighton but attractions like the Pier are more in the heart of the city which, like you say, is a longer walk.
I'm really glad you had a good time and enjoyed the house despite the problems you incurred at the start. It's certainly an amazing place and just about to be featured in 25 Beautiful Homes magazine!! We always strive for perfection in the accommodation and holiday experience we provide so I am glad you have given us some factual pointers for future improvements.
Very best wishes, Jo Harfield

We had a wonderful time at the house over a long weekend. It's breathtaking when you first walk into the living room. With the sun out we loved relaxing in the garden. Thanks so much for such an amazing time

This property is just perfect! Everything we could wish for and more! Every item of crockery, cutlery etc. dishwasher and washing machine. The spacious living area made it possible for everyone to be together - (cooking in the kitchen area whilst also enjoying the large screen television; the family on the sofas or at the dining table). The "snug" lounge was a cosy with an open fire for those of us wanting a quiet space. Beautiful windows onto a pretty garden with lots of wild birds and a safe play area for children. The bedrooms were large and airy with good quality duvets, linen and towels all provided. Supermarkets and small independent grocery shops are all within walking distance and the seafront is only 5 minutes walk. Jo and Kiya were so helpful - Kiya being on her mobile phone ready for any questions from us. We were all sorry when our week was over and would love to go back again.

LondonThe perfect birthday weekend away with friends!
Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in November 2010
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton, this is the place. I stayed here with a group of friends for my 30th and had the most amazing time. This is the perfect home that literally has everything. The kitchen is awesome, the lounge is perfect for watching sports, playing games, or just lovely to sit at the breakfast stalls to read a paper. The owners/management team were incredibly helpful and great to deal with. I wish I had the money to buy this place!!!
