The best part is the beach and the pool. The beach is just a few minutes walk and the pool is next door. If you are travelling with kids and dont want to worry about them too much, having full faith that they are uin no danger at all, then this place is the one. Plenty of eating places close by, the grocery store and the super efficient manager who also runs a convenient coffee shop which does delivery ensures your time is spent vacationing.

We have stayed in the house with our 3 children and beagle puppy for a week during the Songran holidays and have enjoyed our time there a lot. The house is very comfortable for a family vacation, it's clean, well-maintained and simply practical. It is located in a more quiet part of Hua Hin but it's still close to some of the main attractions in the city and the area, and it offers a good base for exploring beaches and parks located south from Hua Hin. Amenities are simple but they all work. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants literally in walking distance and Family Mart, which is very useful. In summary, the house has exceed our expectations and the fact that we could have our dog with us was amazing.

Stayed for nine days in March and supremely happy. Good communications with the owner before arrival. Owner arranged for mini-van service from Bangkok airport and no issues with the pick up. The house itself is in very good condition and well designed and outfitted. The kitchen is not extraordinarily appointed and is quite basic, but enough for most people unless you want to do some intense cooking. Everything else exceeded expectations--bedrooms very spacious, bathrooms well appointed and clean, living area comfortable. Air conditioning in all rooms except the kitchen/living area, and hot water in the showers (not a given for Thailand). Did not have a rice cooker but contacted the manager who immediately supplied us with one. Did not have an outdoor grill as advertised but I'm sure the manager could have supplied us one had we asked, but we didn't need it. Management arranged for daily water delivery which was helpful. Pool is meters away and perfect for young kids. The neighborhood coffee shop will deliver prepared food (and coffee!) which was nice. Management more than willing to arrange taxis and sight seeing, if required. The mini-mart is a short walk and a small fishing village is within walking distance. Management arranged for a couple motorcycles for us to rent but they were not really required, just convenient. About 5-7 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. I can not recommend the boat restaurant that is a few minutes walk from the house (was not satisfied with food or service) but highly recommend a resort/restaurant on the beach called anantasila. It had great food (Thai and foreign), along with a min-golf course (20 baht per person) and a swimming pool you can use for free if you eat at the restaurant.
Dealing with the owner and management was trouble free. You can deal with them with confidence.
All considered, this was a dream vacation made so much better by living in this house, in this location. The only reason to not recommend it is for the location, if you are more interested in the downtown Hua Hin scene. This area is quieter and less trafficked, probably better for families; but even for those wanting a night scene, Hua Hin proper is a short taxi ride away. We agree the location is quieter than in Hua Hin centre and believe this gives you the best of both worlds with it being so easy to get into town for a night out if you want. There are also several bars and restaurants nearby as well. Sorry to hear you weren't happy with the Boat restaurant we have dined there numerous times and found the food and service to be fine, perhaps you caught them on a very busy night.

My family and I have literally just come back from our stay at this house. The house was amazing and truelly made our stay ' home from home '!!! Beautifully spacious, clean, all the amenitys that you require when on holiday and a short stroll to a fantastic beach!!! The children loved being able to play in the pool when we came back from the beach or if we had gone sight seeing!! And we were able to sit on our terrace and relax!!! We have fallen in love with the area and are hoping to come back at the end of the year!!

As a family with teenagers, all were entertained always. Access to the shared pool, nearby beach, local friendly bar with Wii, pool and great Thai and western food was a recipe for a holiday of a life time. The kids enjoyed the elephant rides, quad bikiing, banana boats and horseriding, whilst the adults were greatly impressed by the Hua Hin Hills vineyard, the outstanding Thai food served everywherein Hua Hin. The house was spotless, spacious and there was always someone to help if needed. The service and food in the nearby coffeee shop was superb. We're now saving up for our next visit asap

Hottest time of the year, room air cons were perfect. Dha was wonderful, organising anything from transfers to scooters and food. Place was huge, and location was quiet. Far enough away from the hussle and bussle but beach 5 minutes walk, village 5 mins by scooter and Hau Hin centre 15mins.
Would certainly consider coming back. -

My family and some friends stayed at this house and found it very comfortable and well appointed. The pool and garden area was just outside the front door and it had a pool bar for those snacks and drinks. If you wanted the beach that was only 100m away. In the surrounding area there are plenty of restaurants and the nearest bar is only a 2 minute walk. If you want more beaches you are spoiled for choice with plenty within 15 mins. Hua Hin is only 10 minutes away and there are plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes. There is plenty to do for all ages and I would recommend this house for a lovely holiday.

Most enjoyable holiday Baan Thai Villas
I was there in August 2008, on my way to China on business. With Hua Hin only 2 ½ hours away from Bangkok airport ( about £50 in private taxi minivan) it was a perfect stop over away from the hustle & bustle of Bangkok and a great chance to catch up with some old friends..
The owner had booked my taxi for me, and Dha ( the care taker )was there to meet me on arrival at the house, she had also kindly done some shopping for me as I arrived in the evening.
The pool is great, & the coffee shop is lovely for breakfast or lunch, and a great way to sit & relax ,watching the world & his dog go by, or in this case down to the beach -we hardly used the kitchen! The beach is lovely with loungers for hire for 50p and there are plenty of beach side cafes
The ever so helpful Dha also arranged to deliver deliciously cooked Thai food to the garden area one evening for our friends reunion. All we had to bring ,was ourselves and some wine & beers to help us along!
There were quite a few “chic boutique” hotels sprouting up, we went to a couple, Let’s sea and The Rock, perfect for a gin and tonic before dinner!
We had the most relaxing time at Baan Thai Villas I even took in a cookery and yoga class, as well as an amazing massage and pedicure.
A few days later I was refreshed and ready to fly to Shanghai to face the onslaught of work...

My family had a most enjoyable holiday here at Baan Thai villas. We found the accommodation to be of excellent quality. It was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with modern facilities. The pool on the dootstep was popular with all the family and the local coffee shop was, not only very convenient but, a very friendly place to meet for breakfast and lunch and simply relax with a coffee or a long cool drink. Its location was ideal; close by to a family friendly beach, where the children could go horse riding, go on a banana boat or simply football. There was a variety of restaurants nearby and there was plenty to do in the local area. It was a perfect family holiday and we are sure we will return to Hua Hin and to Baan Thai Villas for another perfect family holiday.

Our family has stayed at this place twice and have loved it both times. Since we live in Thailand and love beaches, we think that Maire's townhouse is the perfect place to stay.
The townhouse is located in a small housing complex called "Baan Thai." It is an easy walk to Khao Takiab beach and a short 5 min taxi ride to Suan Son beach. There is a taxi stand and public transport nearby which can take you into the main centre of Hua Hin. There are also some good restaurants within walking distance. (Make sure to try the Boathouse Restaurant).
The complex has a little park and a swimming pool that is cleaned daily. During our stay in March, it also appeared that they were building a new coffee shop or restaurant. Approximately half of the townhouses seemed to be rented out. The remaining places looked like they had full-time residents.
The townhouse itself was great and much larger than we were expecting. It is fully furnished with 4 huge bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There is an aircon and fan in each room.
The kitchen had all the basic amenities (except an oven). The family room had comfy chairs and couch. Satellite tv was included as well as WIFI.
There is an English-speaking maintenance person who is around the complex every day and can help with any problems or questions that you may have. We also could hire people to clean the house whenever we wanted.
Overall, this is a gem and a perfect place for a family (or two couples) to stay. We felt like we were at a resort but still had the freedom and flexibility to do our own cooking if we wanted.
About us: We are a family of 5 with children aged 4,2 and a newborn. We enjoy travelling and staying near beaches. Priority in our travel is having a kid-friendly place. This usually means that we stay at mid-range places. Maire's townhouses exceeded our expectations.
