This s a beautiful home in a fantastic location. Very acomodating.
The hose is very well equipped and comfortable, the enclosed garden makes this perfect for dogs.
The local pub is very welcoming and the food is excellent, it s also only a short walk from the house which makes it very convenient.
Richmond is a short drive from York house and has some lovely shops bars and restaurants. I would defiately book this property again. A very enjoyable stay. -

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in May 2012
For 25 years I and five friends have taken golf holidays, so we look for somewhere like this house, quiet, and not to remote, this was ideal and ubique particularly with the community pub in the village.
The welcome by the owner was excellent friendly and helpful, it makes all the difference, from time to time we have never had any contact with athe owner just the key under the front door mat. When we have been with Sykes its always been value for money and never any regrets or complaints.
Thanks for the Holiday -

I have a lovely week in York House. It was a beautiful spacious property with plenty of room for my friends, their kids and our wee dog. It's a lovely short walk to Richmond itself. The local village pub is very friendly and does great food. The owner of the house was very welcoming and helpful. We spent alot of time around the huge dinner table catching up, eating and drinking. It was a real family space. I would definitely go back.

Ashby de la ZouchQuiet typically Yorkshire property
Left on 04/13/2012 for a stay in February 2012
A quiet village with a single pub about 5 mins away that is run by the locals. Good base for Yorkshire Moors etc.The games room was great for the kids and the main bedrooms very spacious. Warm and comfortable, but the owner is in the process of dividing the property and the walls in one room were divided and bare plasterboard. There were a lot of marks etc on the walls - needed redecorating, the settees had seen better days and the longer you sat on them the closer to the floor you got. One room smelt awful and when we mentioned it to the owner he said it was a rush carpet and he thinks it was mould from it getting wet at some point! The chairs and dining table were obviously sales room bargins and none of them matched! Owner very pleasant and eager to please.Would consider it again as it was ok.

We arrived on Friday night, cottage was clean and very spacious and cosy. There was no criticism at all. The village was small and very friendly. Local pub was very welcoming and helpful on places to see. Richmond very close, had a big bonfire display. Lots of market towns and castles to visit or plenty of nice walks just on the doorstop. Met owner who was very friendly and helpful. Would definately go again. Might even buy shares in the pub!

Hayling IslandA nice surprise
Left on 10/21/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had a nice surprise when we arrived as it had more than we expected. Loads of space, comfy chairs plenty of cloakroom facilities, and the owner waited to put up a handrail in the downstairs cloakroom for our disabled friend. The music centre was outdated but we didn't really need it. We loved the area and Richmond was very close with nice restaurants. The pub in the village was okay as well.

Bournemouth, Dorset UKGreat location good for families to get together
Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We were blessed with good weather and took advantage of the great location for various family members to tour sights, hire bikes and go on a cycle trail, walk extensively. Drawback was difficulty in getting restaurant reservations in Richmond for a large group. Great for family members to be able to bring pets. Owner was very helpful.
