Winter:

In the winter, o...ur condo is the closest accommodation to Snowbasin Ski resort--a great alternative to the crowds of Park City. Cross-country ski or snowshoe from you doorstep. Ski or snowboard at Snowbasin Ski resort--famous

for it's 5-star lodges, Olympic Downhill runs, and powder reserves. Seriously, on a powder day, you'll still be making fresh tracks at Snowbasin in Utah's fluffy powder while other resorts are completely tracked out. (Stay with us and I'll

gladly direct you to out-of-the-way powder pockets or the best runs for your specific skill level.)

For a change of scenery, you can try out the low-key, low-cost resorts of Powder Mountain or Wolf Mountain (formerly Nordic Valley)--both located within 15 minutes of the condo. These resorts offer night skiing and Wolf Mountain is consistently voted Utah's best-lit and most kid-friendly resort. For those who really want to avoid the crowds, world-class backcountry skiing can also be found within minutes.

Skiing isn't the only draw to Huntsville in the winter. You can enjoy ice skating on Pineview Lake in mid-December, shortly after the freeze-up occurs. Once the lake ice is covered in snow, you can still skate and play pick-up hockey at the quaint ice rink in Huntsville Park. Pineview Lake also offers first-rate ice fishing for trout and crappie during the winter months. For the power-sports enthusiast, the world-famous snowmobile trails of Monte Cristo are only a 20 minute drive. Just down the street is a snowmobile rental shop.

After your activity-filled day, relax in your own hot-tub on the condo's private balcony, surrounded by the evening mountain scenery. For nightlife, Utah's oldest continuously-operating pub, the Shooting Star Saloon, is

5 minutes away in Huntsville town. A scenic canyon drive to the city of Ogden offers the full array of nightlife options. Check out historic 25th street which boasts ethnic restaurants, it's own microbrewery, and live music at

various venues. The Egyptian Theater nearby screens films each year as part of the Sundance Film Festival.

Spring/summer/fall:

Pineview Lake is the main attraction to Ogden Valley during the summer. During the spring months, when the valley is verdant and the mountains still snow-covered, you can actually waterski and snow ski in the same day.

Launch your boat at the mini-marina 2 minutes away from the condo. Walk down to the sandy beach from your doorstep. Some of the best windsurfing & kitesurfing in Utah is found in the afternoons at the Ogden Canyon

inlet. Fisherman can find plenty of success in the shallows fishing for trout, crappie, bass, and tigermuskie. Fly fishermen can find great holes on the three main streems that feed into the lake. A system of both improved and rustic trails are all within minutes of the condo for mountain biking and hiking. Hike or bike to the summit of Mt. Ben Lomond and soak up panoramic views of the Great Salt Lake. Or take a horseback excursion from the Red Rock Ranch just minutes from the condo.

Summer also brings small-town events and festivals to the valley. Take a ride in a hot-air balloon as part of the famous Ogden Valley Balloon Festival held each August. Experience a step back in time with the small-town 4th

of July festivities at Huntsville park. You can even watch the firework show from directly from the beach.

Huntsville also hosts several races each year, including traditional and off-road triathlons and the Ogden Marathon.

For a cultural experience, go buy some famous honey from the quaint Ogden Valley Trappist Monastery and listen to the daily chants; or take a tour of the historic David O. McKay home. Renowned local artists display their Western artwork at the Huntsville Library gallery or in their own studios by appointment.

  We had such a great time and were so comfortable in your condo. My husband and I used the weekend as a retreat to organize and plan for the new year. With the cold winter weather outside, we loved curling up in front of the fireplace and relaxing in the hot tub to stay warm. It is so close to Snowbasin resort and we loved our drive to the resort for a meal. Thanks for letting us stay!

  My wife and I had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Burton lodging last February. What we really appreciated was the location next to two great skiing areas, the cozy and spacious accommodation (we loved the hot tub) as well as the possibility to cook your own meal and make it your home while you stayed there. Arranging for the accommodation was a pleasure and everything was as described. In addition to that the service on site was very good with the person on call caring for our mail that we directed to the lodgings as well as proving great recommendation on things to do. We look forward to going back!

  This place is a little piece of unspoiled paradise: a modern yet cozy apartment that feels like home, in an amazingly beautiful region both in the winter (great snow and skiing in Snow Basin) and in the summer (cute lake in the middle of the mountains). Check in is very convenient and the apartment has everything you need. Strongly recommended!

  We stayed for a week at Burton Luxury Lodging. it was the first time we'd ever stayed at a vacation rental versus a hotel. It was so nice to have a "home" away from home. Can't wait to come stay again!

  We enjoyed a relaxing week in this beautiful condo. The house was very clean, all the amenities worked well, the decor was tasteful and beautiful making one feel at home while on vacation. The surrounding areas are beautiful with lovely hikes and nature trails to be discovered. However, do bring sufficient food for yourself to keep in the refrigerator as the nearest grocer is at least 10-15 minutes away.
  
  One note - The upstairs bathtub jets had some issues as did the hot water to that tub.

  We had an amazing time on our winter vacation. The condo was perfect. Very clean and roomy for 5 people. Very close to the community hot tub. Just minutes from Snow Basin. We loved it!
