Cabin in the woods
The cabin was in a great location and larger than we thought from the photos. Very quiet, nice views of Lily Rock. Very large and comfortable sleeping area and a great king bed. Nice area for sitting or reading outside.
The one downside was a mini-refrigerator which would be fine for a couple of nights but we were there for a little over a week and had to keep our ice chest filled to maintain our food. We had an entire bag of lettuce ruined in the refrigerator. So cooking was a bit of a challenge between the refrigerator and a very small kitchen. For a short stay or mostly eating prepared foods, it would be fine.
There's a great potbelly stove in the sleeping area and a tremendous stone fireplace in the living room. It was cold enough one morning to use the potbelly and it really heated the entire cabin very well.
Other than that, well thought out, good location, convenient but far enough away from town to be very quiet and a 5 minute drive from everything. Also, it is only 5 minutes to get up to the Ernie Maxwell Trail with our dog who was very happy about that!
The cottage was charming and had all the basic necessities.
We enjoyed our stay in Lily cottage. We always love coming up to Idyllwild. the cottage was cute and offerd privacy and quiet.

Lily Cottage met all our expectations and more.
Jim and Mike made checking in and find Lily Cottage quick and pleasant. Their recommendations of local restaurants and activities were excellent. The cottage itself was perfect for us and our two dogs: roomy, comfortable, and located in a quiet area some distance from town. Everything we could need in the way of supplies was provided. We probably will remember most the spectacular views of Lily Rock from the front porch.

New Years stay at Lily Cottage
Cute cabin, good location!

We loved the Lily cottage and would stay again.
First, the guys at Quiet Creek Inn were friendly, and sweet to my little one - inviting us to participate in an art gallery scavenger hunt taking place that day.
Second - Lily cabin was perfect for two people. It was just hidden enough (our neighbor across the road had never heard of Lily Way when we asked him for directions, even though I think he owned his cabin - and then he noticed the street sign as we were talking!)to feel secluded, yet there were neighbors close enough that we (a mom and child) felt very safe.
The bedroom was huge, with sliding glass doors out to a wooden porch. We could lie on the bed reading (the living room had a library) and look out to watch the wildlife in our front yard. There was a pot bellied stove, which would be great in the winter.
The kitchen was well equipped, again, with room enough to handle supplies for two. Each morning, as we ate breakfast, we'd watch through our two dining area windows to see bunnies playing in the side yard.
Although there was a great looking stone fireplace in the living room (again, would be great in the winter), we used the fire pit in the yard each night to roast weenies and marshmallows, while sitting around telling stories. One night a family of raccoons passed by, looking for a handout. They were very polite about it - when we offered no food, and I asked them to move along, they did so without complaint.
There was a radio/record player which we fooled around with a bit, but one or two of the record sleeves were empty, which was a little disappointing. It would have been nice to hear some old scratchy recordings at the cabin.
As we stayed in August, the kitchen and living room would heat up during the afternoon, so we were glad for the fans there. The bedroom always stayed cool, and the yard had plenty of shade and also stayed cool.
Bottom line - Lily cabin was nice enough that we extended our stay one day , and my child and I would both enjoy returning.

A first Honeymoon away from the city
My husband and I stayed in this cabin for our first honeymoon to get away from the bustle of the city (Las Vegas). We decided on this cottage because it allows pets, and after all, they are part of the family. While we were hoping for a more remote, secluded location, the cabin was adorable and very quiet. It was nice having a kitchen to prepare our meals, and it was the perfect amount of space for the two of us and our two dogs. We enjoyed some hiking very close by and roamed around Idyllwild to visit the local shops and art museums. It was a great weekend and we enjoyed it, although we will be looking for a more secluded cabin for our next trip.

I stayed here with my fiance for a friend's wedding in town. It was a nice homey place to stay and the staff was more than accommodating with our late initial check-in as we had a long drive to reach the area.

wonderful get away
We had a lovely time in our cozy Lily Cottage with our pug and our 9 month old son. We brought our pack and play and set it up in the living room and had a huge spacious bedroom all to ourselves all evening and a lovely patio for a quiet evening together while our son slept. The kitchen was perfect for us although it only has a mini fridge so keep that in mind if you are bringing along food for your stay (which I recommend as the grocery stores in town are expensive and minimal selection as to be expected). The only slightly negative feedback would be to request more comfortable patio furniture, the chairs on the porch weren't comfortable so we ended up layering blankets and laying on the patio floor which turned out to be a lovely way to spend the evening but nicer chairs would be nice. thank you!
