Escape to beautiful Idyllwild California. Mild summer temperatures and fantastic snowy winters make our small mountain escape a fabulous vacation destination. The San Jacinto National Forest has great hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Our quaint little Village is full of shops and restaurants, Art Galleries, Nature center and much more. Not one traffic light in this great little town. Nearby Lake Fulmore and Lake Hemet are open for fishing year round. Boat rentals at Lake Hemet are only 25 minutes from Idyllwild.

We spent a wonderful winter weekend at the cabin with our kids and my parents. The location is a little off the beaten path and just beautiful. We enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen, taking in the view and relaxing in the hot tub!

This lovingly, custom-built home is just the place to unwind and relax with family and friends! There are marvelous views in a semi secluded area of town. Our family has had the opportunity to vacation here twice. July being very hot, did not turn our fun in the sun down one bit. After a visit to town, we came back to a cool,restful retreat. We most enjoyed partaking our meals on the spacious deck outside where we could enjoy the cool air and playful critters nature had to offer.
Thank you for offering your Idyllwild mountain retreat as a vacation/staycation location!
We also appreciated the accessabilty to the cabin for our parents with needs who would otherwise have to stay at home. -

Martha was extremely helpful and intuitive of our needs. We found Boulder View to be everything we hoped for. The location was espcially convenient for access to hiking trails and for walking into town. We especially liked the quiet decor of Boulder View that contributed to our unwinding and relaxation.

Cabin was a great choice for us for our anniversary weekend getaway. Really really beautiful cabin. We hit the mountain on one of those special weekends when it got about 18 inches of snow. This is the best cabin to be holed up for a snowbound weekend.
Very comfortable. Bed in master was extremely comfortable. Master suite with hot tub right outside was a big plus.
Sitting in the great room by the warm stove watchng the snow pile up on the giant rock across the creek was so relaxing. No neighbors. No noise. Just one car the whole weekend ---our friends from the rental agency coming to snow plow the road and even our walk!

From the second we walked into the cabin I knew we had to stay here one day. After being shown the home, my husband and I quickly decided to change our previous reservations so that we could enjoy this beautiful place instead. I can honestly say I have no desire to stay anywhere else. We found our vacation spot. Every inch of the home is clean, new, and organized. The spacious living area (great room) was perfect for evenings spent talking and laughing with our friends. The men enjoyed the hot tub which felt like you were soaking in the middle of the wilderness. It was so wonderful to wake up each morning to look out to the back yard which has a natural creek running through it. We enjoyed the giant trees, the beautiful boulder, the abundance of squirrels, and the four dear that came to drink from the creek one morning. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the master bathroom was gorgeous. I took the longest shower I think I've ever taken. I felt like I was bathing outside amongst the trees and squirrels. The experience, from beginning to end, was absolutely majestic. We will be back.

What a wonderful experience in all realms!!! We always look for a three bedroom for privacy, and this offered such, (though will sleep more). A breathtaking setting, relaxing, gourmet kitchen with all you need to cook what you want. Comfortable in all aspects with all visual/modern comforts also present from comfortable sleeping/beds, a hot tub 24 hours a day, wild life and all the modern amenities. I work as a therapist, and the home is wheelchair accessible. Sit in the hot tub day or night and listen to the babbling creek, or walk around to the "dead end” location, so no extra traffic. Games, Idyllwild guides and information down to a leather bound visitor's journal to read about all past occupants experiences. It's just a reclusive and quiet environment. All wants and/or needs met either if you stay one night or a week, but more than 2 days a must so when you do go back home to "reality” , you will feel totally rejuvenating!!! Thank you!!!

I was impressed and pleased with the web, phone and office access in central Idyllwild. The Cabin was modern in construction with beautiful floors, ceilings and kitchen. We enjoyed the great room while cooking, playing games and listening to an Ipod over the surround sound. We had everything we needed in the cabin, while enjoying the seclusion of a forest with a creek off the large back deck. Glad I booked it, had a blast with the In-laws and "Kids", everyone said, "this place is awsome".

This house is roomy and in a great location, walkable to the fabulous aroma Cafe and the rest of town; great view, a short drive to dramatic hiking and pet friendly. Everything worked: the heat, the jacuzzi, the fireplace, the TV. When the DVD player didn't work, the rental company replaced it in time for the next evening's movie. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and a fabulous deck.

The cabin is pretty much brand new. The surroundings are perfect in that it's secluded enough and yet with neighboring cabins for a feel of small rural community. I stayed here with two of my friend's family, and all of them were saying they would come back in a near future with their parents or other family members. If you stay here, I beg you to please take a good care of it because I know I would be coming back here definitely in the future, and I hope I find it in its current tip-top shape for many years to come.
I stayed in the master bedroom. The bed was absolutely comfortable. The only problem I had was there was not much closet or shelf space to hang or put anything on in the master suite. The walk-in closet in the bathroom is locked up for owner's use, and there is not much furniture (the reason I gave less than 5 stars for "comfort") It was a minor discomfort.
If you visit here, do enjoy the full surround stereo system that is built in the ceiling. All you have to do is to connect your iphone or computer to the earphone jack or play DVD. We had a wonderful time hearing some nice music.
One episode. We had total of 3 babies, and all of them almost got a cold. This is what happened. After we put them to sleep in the bedrooms,we started fire in the fireplace (which you would need some instruction to make it work) and we talked by the fireside in the living room until about 2am. One of the babies started crying, and we realized that the rooms were very cold. It was because the living room got warm through the fire and the heater didn't operate because the temperature in the living room was above 73 degree we had set in the evening. (Our babies are fine)
Again, if you stay in this cabin, take a good care of it. I am coming back. -

This home was recently remodeled and was spotless throughout. We came with another couple with kids and dogs and it was perfect with 2 master bedrooms. There was an additional room where the kids slept off living area. The laundry room was enclosed and we could of kept our dogs there if we wanted. There was plenty of room, kitchen utensils, and was located close to town. Our children wanted us to purchase this home and our friends thanked me for finding such a perfect home to meet our needs during our brief getaway. It's always great when the place you visit looks even better than the pictures!

This cabin was very welcoming and gorgeous. Walking onto the back porch, you are surrounded by nature and the sound of the creek right below you. I would highly recommend this amazing and beautiful place.

This is more of a house than a cabin. It's in a very quiet location down a dirt road which dead ends so there is no thru traffic. It is new and has excellent features.
This place is really nice and has everything. You only have to bring food and clothes...everything else is there.
My wife loved the well equipped kitchen (I think I'll be upgrading her kitchen soon as a result of this trip). She also liked the master bath with the large walk-in shower.
The wood stove works great to heat the big open area which includes the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also central heating/AC as a backup that worked great.
The furnishings are quite nice and the audio/video equipment was a pleasant surprise. It's nice to have access the internet via the wireless router.
The only downside was that the mobile phone signal is weak inside the house but okay on the back deck or out front. But then again who wants to be connected to the outside world when you are up here?

Fifteen of usl--half of our family slept across the road at the Cabin on the Creek for a 4 day weekend! Gorgeous home boasting a large "great room" w/top of the line appliances, tv/computer access. In fact, everything about the cabin is topnotch! Walkable to the Village, hiking trails, Creek. Tlc and superb service by Martha is wonderful! This cabin is definitely a repeat!!!
