      Excellent Cabin & Cute Town

Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We really enjoyed out stay at this beautiful cabin. It was even nicer than the photos. Very nice place and they have everything you need unlike some rentals that have the basics. Great for a family and kids. Highly recommend!

      In one word...Wonderful!

Left on 02/22/2013 for a stay in February 2013

This was our first time renting a cabin. Our dream was to have that perfect weekend in the snow, I even joked with Martha about ordering snow for the weekend. I realize Martha can't control the weather(or can she...)but we had snow! The cabin had everything we needed and more. It was very clean and well taken care of. We were very close to town, but very secluded. Folks if you are looking for a stress free weekend in a wonderful location this is the cabin for you. We look foward to returning and recommend Chateau Chablis to anyone. A big thank you to Martha for making our stay wonderful!

      Cozy, kitchy getaway

Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Large, spacious cabins with lavishly adorned decor certainly have their appeal but that style didn't fit our intentions for our weekend getaway in the woods. Instead, we opted for "just right" and found it at Chateau Chablis. The layout of the cabin was well-suited to our little family (myself, my wife and our 6 yr old whippet mix). Bo loved running up & down the stairs and growling at the squirrels and chipmunks that often used the back deck as their own private freeway. Bo really liked having the fenced in side yard to sniff around to his little doggy heart's content. Speaking of the deck, we liked that it wrapped around the entire cabin as well as having the smaller, upper deck off the master bedroom.

The large skylight in the corner of the vaulted-ceiling living room allowed for a unique perspective of the exciting thunder and hail storm that graced its presence Saturday afternoon. Just as expected, the creek in the backyard gradually became a soothing stream of fresh rainwater.

The adequately-equipped kitchen was spacious. The butcher block island was very handy for prepping veggies and as a convenient resting place for hot baking sheets full of oven-fried bacon. The refrigerator was more than adequate for our needs. There was even ice in the ice trays ready for use.

Slip into one of the 2 oversized lounge chairs in the living room, prop your feet up on the matching ottoman and relax to your favorite CD, pop in your favorite DVD movie or catch up on current events on the flat screen, Hdtv. Feeling nappy? Stretch out on the super wide couch and doze off to the cool breeze of the ceiling fan and air-conditioning.

We had planned on trekking into town to pick up some knick-knacks and sample local dining but, we were so comfortable that we hardly set foot beyond the wrap-around deck the whole weekend.

Almost forgot to mention that I accidentlly left my iPad charger behind. No problem! Martha was generous enough to mail it to me free of charge :)

      We'll be back!

This home has a great location. You can walk to town or the Ernie Maxwell trail. A part of Strawberry creek run through the property, nice. The layout of the home allows for adults, children, and pets to move feely about. And, Martha is just great. She will find the perfect cabin to fits your needs everytime. Can't wait to go back.

It was a nice cabbin with lots of home comforts, however I didn't like the shower being downstairs instead of by the master bedroom, the scenery around the cabbin was awesome. I also liked the seclusion, I would recommend this cabbin to my friends.

Really enjoyed hearing the creek in the background and the porch

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The Cabin was close enough to town for convenience but because it was a little bit away had a more secluded feeling. Really enjoyed having porches off both bedrooms plus the front and back of the cabin. The service from Martha was superior-- she even retrieved a item that was left behind and mailed it to me later. Much appreciated!
