Nestled under a canopy of old growth cedars, Camp Creeky is located high in the upscale Fern Valley neighborhood. Humber Park, with it's numerous hiking and rock-climbing routes is just up the street. Strawberry Creek flows year-round just below the deck and can be heard throughout the property. Off-street parking for one car only; extra cars can only park street-side or be left the the quaint village of Idyllwild, which is a 3-minute car ride away. At 5700 feet, Camp Creeky is high enough to get snow when the rest of Idyllwild is only seeing rain.

Our family (parents, teens and a dog) stayed here over the snowy New Year's weekend. We had lots of fun sledding on the local streets and hiking up to Humber Park, as well as just sitting by the fire enjoying the view out the windows. The cabin was cozy and clean, and surrounded by tall trees in a quiet neighborhood. The owner, Nancy, was very helpful in providing information about the road conditions and local activities. We would enjoy staying here again in warmer weather when we could also take full advantage of the enclosed porch, large decks, and lovely creek.

We needed a Thanksgiving getaway! Many places we looked doubled and almost tripled their prices for the holiday, we just couldn't afford that. Then we found this place. It was so nice. Beautiful inside and outside. We enjoyed the near by nature center and strolling through town. The kids loved playing by the creek and I enjoyed drinking my coffee in the cool air looking at something other than houses. The air was cool so we were able to keep the just the screen door closed many afternoons and listen to the creek. The kids even got to see a racoon and a deer the morning we left. We enjoyed the wonderful fireplace every evening that warmed the whole home. The kitchen had everything we needed. A nice home away from home. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We had a wonderful time at Camp Creeky! We are a retired couple with two small dogs who spent a month at Camp Creeky and we really enjoyed the comfort and coziness of the cabin as well as the peace and quiet of the surroundings. The cabin is spacious and has all the necessities, but we especially enjoyed the expansive windows for the views, the large relaxing deck for outdoor breakfast or barbeques, and the spacious screened porch which allowed comfort even when it rains. We enjoyed taking walks in the tall pines, exploring the creek just below the deck, and watching the variety of animals in the area --squirrels, bobcats, and even deer. Our two Yorkies--Pebbles & BamBam--had a great time! In addition, the town of Idyllwild, with its quaint shops and many restaurants, is very close, as are also two lakes where one can go fishing and take in the views. The rental process went smoothly and Nancy was always available to help or answer questions, even to the point of sending us weekly weather reports and a link to the town newspaper. We wholeheartedly recommend Camp Creeky for anyone wanting a getaway in the mountains. Thank you Nancy for a great time and for being such a great host!! Best wishes to you in all your future plans.
