300 m from the centre of the village, of Mouriès, near Les Baux de Provence, le Mas des Arènes is a holiday residence made up of 86 semi-detached, provençal -style maisonnettes each with a shaded terrace. The residence was constructed in 2007.

Mouriès, at the heart of the Valley of Les Baux de Provence, is a typically provençal village, surrounded by olive trees, vines, almond trees and cypresses. It is tucked in on the southern side of the Alpilles regional parc and enjoys more than 300 days sunshine per year.

Accommodation and facilities

The Les Baux de Provence, Mas des Arènes res...idence has a reception, an outdoor heated swimming pool (open April to September depending on the weather), with a sun bathing area and sun loungers. There are bikes for hire and the residence has a laundry with washing machines and driers. Each maisonette, has its own garden and two parking spaces.

Each maisonette at Les Mas des Arenes, Baux de Provence has a kitchenette with a dish washer, microwave-grill, electric coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle. There is a bathroom and separate WC. The living rooms are air conditioned. Garden furniture is provided.

Les Mas des Arenes, duplex maisonette measures approximately 55 m² and can accommodate 8 people.

These maisonettes are always ground floor with a terrace with garden furniture.

The living room has a sofa which converts to twin beds and has air conditioning.

The adjoining kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, a dish washer, microwave-grill, hob, electric coffee machine, toaster, and an electric kettle.

There is a bathroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs is one bedroom with a double bed and two further bedrooms with either a double bed or twin beds in each one.

There is a shower room with separate toilet.

At Les Mas des Arenes, Baux de Provence there is an outdoor, heated swimming pool with a vast sunbathing area. Free access. Swimming pool opening dates and details.

TVs can be provided but there are no English channels and a supplement is payable.

Wifi access must be pre-booked as not all apartments have a connection

Electric barbecues can be hired from reception (other barbecues are forbidden owing to fire risk).

Bicycles can be hired from reception but it is recommended that you book about a week before arrival.

It is impossible not to savour this unspoilt natural environment and sweetness of life in Provence. Mouries is at the gateway t the Camargue, to the Luberon massif, to the beaches of the Mediterranean and at the crossroads of some of the most important tourist and cultural sites in Provence. With almost 80,000 olive trees, it is France’s number one olive producing town with several gold medals to its name, Its wines and agricultural produce are classed as ’Appelation d’Origine Controle’. The town centre, lined with cafes and their terraces under the shade of hundred year old plane trees, is taken over, every Wednesday morning, by a Provencal market.
Local Activities

Walks and mountain bike excursions are organised and there is bull racing in the arena just 50m away.
For children (3 to 12 years old), the « poney club Le Rouget » at Paradou offers poneys rides (with parents holding the reins). Rides have to be booked by Tuesday morning at the latest and for further information, phone: 0033 4 90 47 56 58.
There are events, throughout the summer season in Mouriès: In June there is the annual bullfighting club festival, in August the religious festival of St Louis, in September, the green olive festival with folklore from Arles and bull racing in the arena.
