DublinA great first foreign family holiday!

We had a great time with our one year old son. Sandy and Barry were fantastic - they have their own grandchildren so they had everything and more than we needed to entertain our one year old! It was a great location with lots of day trips to various places and a great swimming pool in Fougeres. A lovely relaxing holiday in a homely cottage

We spent 1 week at the Cherry Tree Cottage and we enjoy the quietness of the place with our 3 children. It was an excellent base camp for our short trips to St. Maló, Mont Saint Michel, Normandy beaches, Carnac, etc... as well as a great point to relax ourselves at the swimming pool and playing around. The morning jog was excellent as well.

Melbourne, AustraliaAuthentic french countryside cottage -welcoming and homely.
Left on 08/27/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We loved Cherry Tree Cottage's solid stone country-house atmosphere, in a very pretty part of Brittany, close enough to charming local villages.Sandy and Barrie were very welcoming (providing a breakfast pack and bottle of wine)and very friendly and helpful in meeting all our requirements. The cottage was simple, yet comfortable and very homely. The solid stone prevents internet access within the cottage but our hosts provided an alternative position for access. Our cottage was last in a row of 4 attached cottages, which provides a community feel. Surrounding grass and pool were pleasant, though in early July it was too cool to take a dip. We loved the historical town of Fourgeres, where few speak any English, and the food is wonderful.Next time, we'd like to explore the forest and lake and perhaps even go horse-riding.

Hook, HampshireBeautiful Brittany cottage
Left on 08/11/2012 for a stay in August 2012
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by Sandy and Barrie. Cherry tree cottage was lovely, clean, spacious, light and airy. The facilities for children are great and there is plenty of room for them to explore the local lanes and farm land. There is some delightful beaches within an easy drive, together with fabulous scenic coastal routes. If you get the chance, go to Genets and walk across to Mont St. Michel (with a guide). Alternatively, if you are more of an active type, my eldest son and I tried sand sailing at Cherrieux beach (exhilarating).

NetherlandsWonderful stay at Cherry Tree Cottage

Service:
We stayed here for one week in may with 6 friends, aged 20-something.
The cottage:
Enough space for 6, great garden/patio/outside play-area, kitchen with everything you need, television, DVD player, cosy living room.
Location:
Quiet, peacefull. Depending on your own
What we liked best:
-The hospitality of the owners (lovely people) provided animation (trampoline, tabletop tenis, DVD etc).
- There are a lot of cultural activities/things to see in the area. (If you don't mind to have an +/- 30 - 60 min drive )
What we liked least:
- There is not much to do in the evening, but I don't think the regular guests(families) would mind.
- Too bad the pool wasn't opened yet -

The pittoresk french country-side mixed with warm, Brittish hospitality. barry and Sandy made sure that we had all we needed. Also the area is great. in the middel of meadows and graslands, but also close to the sea. A lot to do and see.
absolutely recomendable, we had a great week!
