LouisvilleWonderful Beach House
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We rented Sunny Daze during the first week of april (2 adults and one 5 year old child). It's a great house for many reasons. The location is quiet and lovely in a neighborhood with just a few other houses. The few people we crossed paths with were very friendly. We have to give credit to the builder of this house because of the fabulous deep and lengthy porches both on the front and back of the house. The screened in porch on the back of the house is accessible from the living room as well as the master bedroom. If you are lying in bed in the master bedroom, the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning is the sun rising over the marsh. It's beautiful. You can hear the ocean very clearly from the front porch and it's a very short walk to the beach. The pool is really nice but beware it's not heated. This was our second trip to Indian Pass and we enjoyed the raw bar once again. This year we rented a golf cart since the area where Sunny Daze is located is a golf cart designated area. We had a blast driving our cart around the area and especially enjoyed going to the Indian Pass campground. The pelicans are so much fun to watch and one day we took the Ferry to St. Vincent's Wildlife Refue. Shells are abundant on the island.
Sunny Daze has a fully equipped kitchen and the house is very cute and comfortable. Our 5 year old daughter loved having the loft and upstairs bedroom all to herself and enjoyed the strobe night light! We have wonderful memories of another great vacation on Indian Pass. Thanks to the owner of Sunny Daze for sharing your lovely home. Also thanks to Forgotten Coast for being friendly and helpful when we called to let them know we were stuck in major traffic and would be late picking up the keys. Very nice people to work with. -

NashvilleMost relaxing vacation I've ever had.
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in May 2012
Loved the full-length back porch and watching the all the birds while drinking coffee. We would have liked to be directly on the beach, but no way we could beat the deal we got on this house. It's less than 100 yards from the beach access and the pool was perfect. We were there in early May and practically had the whole beach to ourselves. And my favorite raw bar (Indian Pass) is right down the street. This is a laid back vacation spot. Relaxing is the main activity. If you want other activities you have a short drive to Mexico Beach, or a 45 min drive to Panama City for a lot more activity.

St. Louis, MOPeaceful and Beautiful Getaway!
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This is the place to stay! If you don't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Port St. Joe and want to be centrally located so you can get to apalachicola, Cape San Blas, and Mexico Beach, this house in Indian Pass is perfect. It was the perfect size for me, my friend, and our dog to stay in for a week. The screened-in porch is an added bonus and the quaint little "neighborhood" is safe and friendly. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and although we did not get to use the pool, it is right next to the beach. The only small complaint I have has to do with the bugs of Florida! There's no stopping them from getting into even the cleanest house, but they are nonetheless somewhat unnerving! Also, if you are looking to visit the famous Indian Pass Raw Bar(which has fantastic crab-stuffed shrimp) it is maybe a 2 minute drive. I highly recommend Sunny Daze for your relaxing vacation getaway!

Chicago, Illinois, United StatesVery pleasant beachhouse
Left on 02/24/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We were pleased especially with the location, cleanliness, and inventory of household equipment. This place is very private -- forested vacant lots to either side and swampland to the back. Indian Pass Raw Bar is one minute away, a real plus. In addition to the beach and water sports, hiking and biking opportunities abound. We found the interior spotless. Be advised, however, that parts of the house are not quite finished. Looks like some work stopped mid-job. The moulding upstairs is only partially installed and painted. Lighting has not been installed over the kitchen work area. We didn't like preparing meals in the dim light. On the other hand, all of the kitchen appliances and utensiles you might want are there, including a Cuisinart, blender, large roasting pan, and coffee grinder. To sum up, good value for the money. We went home pleased with our rental.

PADown time with the Family at Sunny Daze.
Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The house was very beautiful and ready for us to check in. However, when we arrived the aC and the refrigerator was not working. To top it off we had just bought about $100 in groceries for the week. We contacted Forgotten Coast property management and they were quick to respond and have a maintenance person on site in about an hour. The maintenance person realized it had to do with the actual electric service to the house and called the local utility. Everything was fixed by the time we had returned from the afternoon on the beach.
Additionally, we were on the property during Huricane Isaac which actually hit Louisiana. The property management did send someone out to check on us and ask if anything needed to be secured. Fortunately little flooding occurred.
Overall the house was great, very comfortable. We loved the toddler beds since we have small kids. Additionally we were able to locate a toddler chair that strapped on to the table, this was a great accommodation to have.
We would definitely recommend this property to another family. The area is beautiful and so is the house.

Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Stayed there as a change of pace & loved the house & the area; no complaints at all regarding the home or amenities. Liked best: very unique home, & very quiet.
Least: Making reservations was less than pleasant-young lady was not very cordial, (and I have to pay money to her ?)acted as though I was annoying her. Had diff reservationist upon key pickup & she was the bomb, so that made up for it. Have used FCR for years... -

We loved our week at Sunny Daze. The people at
Forgotten Coast Rentals were very helpful when I called to make the reservation and when we got there. The house was very nice and especially great that they let us bring our dog. It is just a short walk from the beach and Gabe(our dog) loved going to the beach every day. It is very secluded and private, so quiet and peaceful. All I can say is we hated to leave and hope to go back again! -

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This is the third time we have stayed at Sunny Daze. It's the perfect size for us since there are only the two of us (and our four dogs!). Our oldest daughter stayed a couple of nights in the upstairs bedroom. It's a short walk to the beach - which is dog friendly and always fairly deserted. We love the ocean-side pool to cool off and catch a few rays when we are not on the beach. We appreciated that they got a new gas grill this year. All in all a great value and we just love Indian Pass.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Sunny Daze. The house was very comfortable. The kids loved the circular staircase to their own private hideaway upstairs. The screened in back porch with the hammock chair was a favorite spot for mom. Beautiful view from the back porch overlooking the canal, and just a short walk to the beach. Pool off the beach was great for a dip on the way back home. Easy distance between Port St. Joe and apalachicola for shopping and eating.

Left on 06/05/2011 for a stay in May 2011
The home had secluded and quiet location approximately 100 yards to the beach. May is a great time of year in Indian Pass. Not sure of rental company's early check in policy. They wanted a full days rent for checking in 3 hours early.(no occupants the night before) Called owner of property and got it squared away.

The property was nice and we enjoyed it. We had difficulty with the cable TV. Unable to figure out how to use it. There seemed to be an electrical issue with the lights. The dimmed on occasion, and the dryer made loud noise. Not sure if it was related. It was a nice stay and we would come back again.

Left on 02/23/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Close to Port St Joe and apalachicola, this home is beautifully decorated and user friendly. The screened verandah at the back looks over a large marsh.Great for relaxing and drying off after time at the beach. The beach is just a 3 minute walk and stretches for miles in both directions.
We were lucky enough to see dolphins one morning and we were only at Sunny Daze for a week.
Just two suggestions..Kitchen lighting is inadequate and the BBQ wasn't operable. -

Jacksonville, NCVery quiet, relaxing getaway
Left on 07/24/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We had a great time at Sunny Daze. It's just the right size for my husband, myself and our dog. It was so nice to be able to take our pet with us and enjoy our time together instead of worrying about who is keeping him. We took him to the ocean everyday and most of the time were able to let him play off leash. The beaches are relatively uncrowded, and we were there over July 4 weekend. The house sits on a marsh, so the bugs are intense, but with some bug spray you'll do fine. It's about a 5 min walk to the ocean, but you save a lot of money that way. The area definitely isn't for people who are looking for stuff to get into. There are no bars, limited restaurants (and those are mostly a 15 min or so drive) and only one grocery store in the town. That's the way we like it, but if you're looking for more action, this isn't the area for you. The only complaint I have about the area is that the water is far from clear. The ocean water was very dirty while we were there. Granted, the oil spill wasn't far away and perhaps that had something to do with it, but everyone kept saying it hadn't affected that area. I was under the impression the Gulf water was beautiful, but honestly the water where I live in coastal NC is cleaner. Overall, we had a great time and would return.

This is a great spot for families that love the beach or being poolside. Great access to both in a very short walk. House is very private and a nice view of the marsh. If you are a fisherman, there is plenty of room for your trailor and boat. Ramp is just down the road.

Gainesville, FLGreat quiet place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty
Left on 03/25/2010 for a stay in March 2010
My wife and I and our 2 labs enjoyed the peace and quiet we found at the Sunny Daze property. The beach was very pet friendly and we were amazed by the beauties in St. Joseph Peninsula and St. Vincent Island. "The Forgotten Coast" could not be more accurate in describing how this beautiful part of Florida has missed much of the coastal building. A destination not to miss.

Left on 03/04/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We rented Sunny Daze for the month of February, 2010. We thoroughly enjoyed the home. In particular we loved the privacy and the surrounding marsh and trees with their many birds. We could hear the owls hooting at night and also, somewhat less tranquil, the sound of the bobcats. Unfortunately we never got to see either. It is a great place for nature lovers.
Everything was in good working order and when we had a minor issue, Forgotten Coast was there within hours to fix it.
The pool was closed, as one would expect in February, but it was a nice setting and we could imagine spending time there had the weather been warmer.
Our dog loved the area and we were grateful that the owner allowed her. Gulf and Franklin Counties allow dogs on the beach and for the most part people acknowledge this by keeping it clean.
Not Gulf view but its a couple of minutes to the shoreline, so we didn't see a problem.
Overall good rating. -

Very nice place. Cheerful decor and powerful AC. Good beach and pool access. Enjoyed the back view over the marsh, however, the screened porch in back could use ceiling fans. A screened porch might also be nice for the front (outdoor cooking and dining)as mosquitoes can be fierce.
Did encounter a scorpion and a mouse in the house, since retired. Service staff were very helpful and accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay and the house nicely fit our extended family. -
