Tommy's on the Beach is your perfect Florida Vacation Rental. Built in the 1960's, Tommy's has been renovated to include all the modern conveniences yet still retain the charm of an "Old Florida" beach house with "vintage" beach cottage style decorating. We have 2 upstairs two bedroom units and 1 downstairs one bedroom unit, all large enough to sleep 2-6 guests." All 3 have full kitchens and fantastic Gulf views! Reserve 1, 2 or all 3 units and take advantage of our multiple unit discount. Relax on our decks and enjoy our amazing sunsets. You may even see leaping dolphins or friendly manatees. On summer nights , you may be lucky enough t...o watch our baby sea turtles hatch and make their way to the sea. Surrounded by our amazing natural Florida environment, we are still convenient to everything city life has to offer. We are Family Friendly and with permission, a Pet Friendly vacation rental too. Located between Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg Beach, Indian Rocks Beach is right in the heart of the Tampa Bay Area. We are close to Area Attractions, Shopping, Fishing, Golf, Tennis, Sailing, Boating, Nature Parks, Tropical Botanical Gardens, Busch Gardens, Dining, Museums, Geo Caching, Marine Aquariums, Manatee sightings, Bird Watching, Alligator Feedings, Sea Turtle Nests, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Buccaneers. We are 90 minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. Free Wireless Internet in all units!

Each 2 bedroom unit has a king bed and 2 single beds as well as 1 or 2 double futons in the living rooms. You can access the adjacent unit by the deck or close it off for privacy. You decide what is best for you. Our cozy downstairs 1 bedroom unit has 2 queen beds and a double futon in the living room. It is so convenient to walk straight out to the beach- no stairs.

We have all the beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and toys you could ever want. Play a game of Vollyball, bean bag toss , horse shoes or classic shuffle board. The Gulf swimming is warm and wonderful and we are so very tropical with warm days and balmy evenings.

We have a wide selection of activities nearby. You can rent bicycles, scooters, jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, wind surfers, sailboats, power boats and just about anything else you can think of. A wonderful community pool with mini water park is only 5 miles away. You can even sail away on a Pirate Ship!

Shopping and dining are wonderful in our area as well as concerts, night clubs, sporting events, casinos, movies, farmer's markets, sidewalk art shows, and many special events. Most of our guests return many times for our beautiful beach , our long list of activities and of course, our charming and comfortable beach house. We would love to have you join our "family".

Holidays are special at Tommy's on the Beach and our property is wonderful for family gatherings and friend reuniuns. Indian Rocks Beach is one of the last "Old Florida" style beach towns left with no large resorts or high rise condos. Our town is wonderful for residents and guests alike. It's easy to get around by car, on foot or by the Beach Trolley. We have everything you'll need close by. With our beautiful white sand beach and casual small town atmosphere, your favorite activities might just be to Swim, Sun, Marvel at our leaping Dolphins and enjoy our magnificent Sunsets.

  We very much enjoyed our stay at Tommy's. We rented the lower level for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed much longer. It's right on the beach and they have everything you could possibly need - toys, noodles, a variety of chairs, beach towels and umbrellas. We met some very nice people during our stay. It is just off Gulf Blvd and very easy to get anywhere in the area. We mainly drove into Clearwater which was about 10 minutes away. It was very nice to have the extra space over a hotel room and everything that you would need to make yourself at home was there. There is a washer and dryer available and I liked that the detergent was the perfume free kind. There are a couple of restaurants right next door and several more within blocks. The beach in this area was very quiet, even though Indian Rocks has a number of public beach accesses. It was very much like having your own private beach. Both Jan and Tommy were very helpful. There were a lot of shells on the beach so no need to go shelling anywhere else, unless you are looking for the hard to find ones. My mom is older and has some trouble getting around and she was able to get everywhere fairly easily, including down by the water. The sunsets are wonderful! Both my 6 year old and I are looking forward to a return trip sometime.

  We just spent one month there.The unit was very clean,The Gulf was 80 degrees and crystal clear.The beach was clean and excellent.Great experience will do again next year for the seventh straight year.Do we like it ,Yes we love it, quiet and relaxing.The only thing the owners left out of their ad was pictures of the fantastic sunsets.The owners are great people and very friendly and willing to help in any way they can.

  A Great Vacation Getaway

  Our stay at Tommy's on the Beach was really wonderful! We had all we needed there to relax and have fun. We have stayed before and enjoyed both apartments, North and South Units. The furniture is very comfortable, very nice kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD player. One of our favorites is the view from the deck and it is priceless. Sunsets and the sounds of the waves, great star gazing! We loved being on the beach and yet close to any stores or shopping. We cooked some of our meals and ate at great area restaurants. It is the best of both worlds. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. We had great neighbors around us and we are planning to take the whole family next year and rent the entire house!

  A Nice Florida Beach House

  We have been coming to Indian Rocks Beach for more than 40 years, and Tommy's on the Beach is our favorite place to stay. The units are charming, the private beach access is unbeatable, and Jan and Tom are the most helpful and personable hosts that you will ever find. In the commercial block right behind Tommy's, there are two good restaurants and a French bakery, and other good restaurants in easy walking distance.
