Quiet Waters

My family has owned this large Indian Shores Florida two bedroom, two-bath condo, with a good-size kitchen (great ice-making fridge, new), spacious dining-living area, and balcony) since 1988. It is comfortable, light, airy (southwestern exposure) vacation condo and we love it. I am pretty confident, based on scores of rentals over the years, that you will too. The master bedroom has a King Size bed, the smaller bedroom has a Queen and a Twin, and the living room sofa converts to a Queen Size bed.

Our condo F2 is an end unit, in a U-shaped 30-unit building, so we have no common walls with any other unit.

We own a private access pa...th to the Gulf of Mexico (across the walk-path, bike-path, 2-lane street recently put in place by Indian Shores), and the building itself is on the Intracoastal Waterway, with a private dock through a mangrove swamp, to that. There is a pool, a hot tub, a barbecue area, and a sundeck, as well as outdoor shower and poolside bathrooms.

I have owned this unit F2 at Quiet Waters for nearly a quarter century (the building was only a few years old when I bought) and I picked it out carefully; I used to be a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times (the local paper) and I covered Indian Shores, so I knew the region well. Unlike some parts of Florida, it has never been over-developed, and recently the town added both bicycle and walking paths to the roadway, narrowing the car lanes in the process, which has made Quiet Waters really people and kid friendly.

Rates vary with season and duration of rental from $550 to $1200 per week all inclusive, and from $2000 to $4200 per month, ALL INCLUSIVE. Our rates are very competitive for the area and amenities available, however, we rent out early so planning ahead is a good idea.

  Other than a lot of rain during our visit we had a great time. Only had to walk across the street and we were on the beach. I had thought we would have a water view but it was only a sliver between buildings across the street so that was kind of a bummer.
