Real value for the money. Enjoy the view of the Gulf and the Bay from our 3 bedroom beach cottage. Its located just 100’ back from the beach on the courtyard. Private 2 bedroom apartment upstairs. Queen size and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. Down stairs separate full apartment has another Queen size bedroom and in the Living room a comfy queen pullout sofa.
Take in the views of the water all around you from the many windows. Sit out on the small balcony from the master bedroom and watch the yachts go up and down the intracoastal waterway. This 2 apartment cottage is ideal for an enjoyable family vacation on the beach.

Sun N Fun is the perfect place to Relax! If you are looking for a
place to enjoy a wonderful time at the Beach, this is it! The Gulf of
Mexico is just 150 feet from your door. You can hear the waves
lapping the shore constantly. The wildlife is great! Pelicans and
seagals continually fly by with their friendly calls. Small lizards
scurry along the walks. The beautiful flowers and palm trees give a
south sea atmosphere. The sand on the Beach is white and so fine
grained. Just like powder. There is always a nice breeze coming from
the Gulf. Plant your beach umbrella and sit on the Beach is
heavenly!! You can walk for miles in each direction. The people on
the Beach are few and friendly. Great!!! The location is great.
Dining and shopping are both close. Indian Shores has both bike and
walking lanes along either side of the roads. Sun N Fun has the Gulf
on the west and the intercostal waterway just 30 feet from across the
road on the west. I love the water on both sides! The accommodations
at Sun N Fun are great. The management is very responsive to all of
your needs. The staff is friendly, always ready to make you stay
comfortable. The rooms are clean and have everything you have at home
to make your stay a wonderful experience. The view from the patio is
unbelievable. This is paradise!!!

Welcome to Florida the way it used to be! This large beachfront home and carriage house has been converted to comfortable apartments overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. As always, location is key to this property. Located right on the beach with the beautiful Gulf of Mexico on the west side, the equally amazing intercoastal waterway is located across the street on the east side. No properties or parking lots on the east side makes this stretch of beach almost secluded compared to many others.
A short walk (a stone's throw actually) south puts you at The Pub restaurant with excellent food including breakfast buffet, indoor/outdoor seating with great views of their 50-slip marina and the Intercoastal waterway and even marine rentals if you are so inclined. If you're looking for more dining, shopping or drinking a car is unnecessary. A beach trolley runs up and down the coast with stops right next to the property.
But I digress! Back to Sun 'N Fun! We stayed in the first-floor one bedroom studio in the carriage house. A lovely view of the beach through the front windows and of the intercoastal through the kitchen window. We arrived a little early and were met by the cleaning staff who greeted us as if we were returning family even though this was our first visit. The unit was very clean with one of the most comfortable beds we have encountered in our travels. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with newer stove/oven, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator and you need only bring consumable items like spices, condiments, aluminum foil, etc if you intend to do your own cooking. One awesome amenity was a nearly brand new huge gas grill onsite for guest use. Cooking shrimp & chicken kabobs shaded by palms with the sound of the waves and ocean breeze was delightful.
The beach is of course amazing. With no public parking nearby, beachcombers are mostly limited to guests of nearby properties. It's a long walk from public parking areas so this stretch of beach seems much less crowded than others we have stayed at. Sun 'N Fun has beach chairs and chaise lounges available for guest use and this made our beach days very pleasant. Stepping from your room and taking a few steps to this amazing beach and being able to grab a chair along the way is a beautiful and very convenient thing. The sunsets are incredible.
The first day was a little cool so we actually used the Tv's a little. Cable service was great. The unit has a modern all-season Hvac system keeping us warm on the one cool day and cool after some very warm days on the beach. No cranky & noisy window units here!
By the way, I am disabled and can't do stairs well. The Manager Bruce Carter swapped around some reservations to get us into a ground floor unit for our stay. He obviously knows little things can mean a lot to people and they took very good care of us.
Ok, now for the negatives. The whole experience was so excellent I hesitate to mention anything negative, and even these are nit-picky little things. WiFi coverage could be better in this unit (but we really came for the beach). Traffic passing right next to the carriage house can be a little noisy, but amazingly traffic fades quickly in the evening and it is very quiet at night. The sofa in this unit is a little older and seems to lean forward just enough to be uncomfortable (but as I say, I am disabled and my back is hard to please). It may not be a problem for others. Unfortunately pets are not allowed. If they allowed us to bring our two dogs, this would be the absolutely perfect place for us.
I almost didn't write this review because we have been searching for a weekend and vacation getaway and was tempted to keep this treasure secret! :-) But I tell you, if you stay here, you will be back. It is wonderful.
