This semi-detached, stone built barn conversion is set one mile from Ingleton and sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Kirksteads Barn is a stone built, semi-detached barn conversion, situated one mile from the village of Ingleton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This single storey cottage has two bedrooms, consisting of one double and one twin, as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue. Kirksteads Barn is a wonderful holiday home, ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and the fam...ous Three Peaks.

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD, selection of books, DVDs and games, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Spacious lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops 1 mile, pubs 10 mins walk. Note: Although all ground floor, there are two steps from the open plan living area to the bedrooms and bathroom.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Lovely rural retreat

  We stayed here for 10 days with our 1-year-old in June 2012. The barn is beautiful - modern and spacious, warm and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and fabulous garden. Our toddler loved running around in the open-plan space, and the owners kindly loaned us a cot and high chair. Unfortunately we only enjoyed 2 days in the garden due to wet weather. Towels and bed linen were provided, but not changed during our stay. There was a little noise from the farm and the road, and occasional noise from the owners, who live upstairs, but mainly it was very peaceful. There are excellent views of the local peaks and surrounding fields. We found it to be very practical accommodation with a toddler (so long as we guarded the steps), and so nice and comfortable that we didn't mind staying in when our young one needed to nap, or it was too wet to venture outdoors.
  
  Ingleton is about 1 mile away with some lovely local shops and pubs (the Wheatsheaf has a lovely beer garden), and a Co-op. The river runs through the town, under the viaduct and you can easily get to the Waterfalls Walk. There is a great children's playground and a market on Fridays. We also enjoyed visiting the local towns of Settle and Kirkby Lonsdale. Settle has a nice swimming pool and soft plan barn, which were excellent in the wet weather. We visited Docker Park Farm which has animals, play areas and a great cafe.
  
  The wet weather did dampen our stay somewhat, but the high standard and comfort of Kirksteads Barn provided the haven we needed and I would recommend it as excellent self-catering accommodation.
