Description from the manager
This wonderful, quiet little cabin is tucked in behind your hosts’ home. Although there are other homes around the cabin you will enjoy the feel of being in the country. The trees surrounding the house are plentiful and the outdoor picnic area is perfect for enjoying nature.
Inside is a large open living room and kitchen offering hill country decor. The living room has a comfy leather sofa (also a sleeper bed) and over sized chair—both are placed to enjoy the cable television. A fully equipped kitchen is large and perfect for those quiet evenings when you just want to stay in! The kitchen has a large refrigerator, range/oven...Read more

Lumberton, TexasAbsolutely Perfect!
Left on 09/30/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This was one of our most enjoyable stays in a while! The Dubl-C Guest House is tucked away behind the host's house but with a very private feel! The house is literally fully equipped, one would only need to pack clothes and toothpaste...the hosts have provided everything else! Breakfast for two for three days or more and all the sodas and water you could ever need as well as a nice selection of wines. If you choose to cook while you are there...all utensils, pots, pans, dishes, are also provided! We took advantage of the washer & dryer...all the necessities for that were also there! I sat on the screened back porch every morning, enjoying my coffee from the Keurig coffee maker, watching the deer roam freely...it was wonderful! We were in driving distance of many great attractions, including Fredricksburg, Kerrville, Mountain Home and of course beautiful Ingram and Hunt! The drive to the guest house is spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return! We have never stayed in a place that offers so much, at such a great value...$95 per night, pay for 2 nights, get one free!

This place has everything I could have asked for! It even has a Keurig coffee maker! Very quiet wooded area with lots of deer and wildlife.

Midland, TXA relaxing, off the beaten path retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at this guest house. The location is a little out of the way but every need is met if you'd like to just relax on the porch and hang out. We used it as a jumping off spot to area attractions. Its not far to Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock, Kerrville parks and there are beautiful views of the river along the drive to Dubl-C. The guest house was very clean and had everything you could think of, food and drinks, movies, reading material and local brochures. I highly recommend staying at Dubl-C.

We loved the openness of the house as well as the cleanliness! There were deer roaming around in the back yard and there were lots of trees! And what a neat screened-in porch with table and chairs. Nice long bar in the kitchen, too. We were very, very pleased! Would definitely stay again and hope to do it again soon and, perhaps, stay longer next time!

This guest house was the perfect place to stay. the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook with. the fridge was stocked with a good selection of breakfast items (microwavable). pleanty of soft drinks and even a bottle of wine from a local winery. it was all complementary (no honor bar) The rooms were very spacious. there was a washer & drier, they even had towles to wipe off you'r bike. There was a covered parking area and you could start you'r ride in some of the most beautiful parts of the hill country within 10 minits of the Double C.

South TexasI want to keep this place a secret!!!

I have hesitated to review out of selfishness. I do not want others to know about this fabulous home away from home.
I have nothing but compliments on every aspect of the stay. From the great deal for staying additional nights, to the stocked fridge and snack/wine basket and the ability to run next door and ask the owner if you are in need of something, the ability to wash clothes before returning home and so much more!!!..
Only suggestion would be the skylights in bedroom be tweaked to allow for some manner of darkening. I love natural light, but wanted to sleep in some days and God's light made me get up!! :-)
Thank you so much for this fantabulous retreat location... I really wanted to rent it for the summer... Yes, it was that great! I am going to make this place my destination for my annual pilgrimage away from reality! (maybe next time it will rain a few days and I can enjoy reading on the screened in porch)
