I felt that Bob and Carol genuinely took pleasure in having guests in their home. A warm welcome with a cup of tea and an excellent lemon sponge. This was a most enjoyable stay with nothing to fault

A wonderful way to start our vacation was to stay at Bracadale B&B.; Upon our arrival we were served tea and cake then guided to the hotel resturant for fish and chips. The three days we stayed with Carol and Bob were excellent. There is so much to see and do in the area. Would go back and stay any time!

We were very impressed by Bob & Carol nothing was to much trouble. After not being able to get into the Inn for an Evening meal they took it upon themselves to offer us a beautiful meal, otherwise we would not have had any food that evening, it was so kind of them and we really appreciated it. They do not usually offer an evening meal and this was a one offer totally for us, so a big thanks to them. If ever we are in that area again we would stay with them if they had a vacancy, and also reccomend them to our friends and family. The comforts room etc were excellent and Bob & Carol great. Northern IrelandA WONDERFUL WINTER BREAK
Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The service provided by Mr & Mrs Hunter was better than one would expect from a B & B. They are very friendly and helpful.
The house is clean, comfortable and in a delightful spot, with the river running at the bottom of the garden. The food is also of exceptional standard, breakfast & evening meal if taken. Hope you like dogs they have a very friendly Border Terrier.
We have been to the Highlands before, in the summer, this was a first in the winter and we had snow and even more snow. It was great. One can get, with ease, to most parts of the Highlands. We went to Skye and Ben Nevis.
The best part of the break was to see the Highlands in the snow, the worst bit....was there one? -

From the moment we stepped through the door we felt very welcome. The room was nice, we were offered coffee and tea immediately, and when we said we'd rather go for a walk, we were told where to go. Bob and Carol were seriously interested (especially in our geocaching-experience). Everything we needed was in the house, the breakfast was great. What we will remember most is the very warm and friendly attitude of Carol! And of course we were happy to tell where Dornie is :-) (loved the castle by the way!). Highly recommended for everybody!

Literally as soon as we arrived we felt relaxed in
Bob & Carol's hospitality - the arrival coffee and
cake was just what the doctor ordered!
We were given space but felt able to approach and
chat with either of them at any point, the ideal
balance of amenity and a homely feel.
The room was warm, comfy, spacious and well kept.
We only spent one night there but were chatting
with them like pals by the time we left -
definitely would go back.
Very nice couple, lovely home, would recommend to
anyone. -

We stayed at Carol and Bob's for 2 nights with my parents from Canada. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. We were offered a slice of the best Banana Cake i've had (sorry mom) and a brew, just what you need after a long drive. The rooms were spacious and very clean and we had full access to the lounge complete with satelite T.V, games, CD's and DVDs. There were mini fridges in the rooms which was great for chilling a bottle of wine. The location was beautiful, right on the river and a 15 minute hike from Loch Ness. Breakfast was lovely and packed lunches offered for a small fee. My parents really enjoyed it, as for my husband and I, we will be coming back!

Bracadale was a lovely B&B with deliteful owners Bob and Carol who made us feel so at home in their home. It sits in a beautiful spot on the river and guets have their own garden area with access to the river. The bedrooms are comfortable and homey and the breakfast was amazing. I would visit this area again just to stay with Bob and Carol!!

My family have now stayed at this B&B twice and will definitely be back again! Not only is the setting of Bracadale amazing and picturesque; the Hosts unbelievably helpful and friendly; the rooms large and comfortable and with everything you need (hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, tv, etc), Bracadale is also well located within easy driving distance to many of Scotland's main tourist attractions; easy walking distance to some wonderful hikes as well as the village center! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience staying at 'Bracadale' with hosts Bob & Carol Hunter. We had first class service, the rooms were spotlessy clean, good toiletries in the en-suite. The breakfast was exceptional you could have anything you wanted. The house was very homely and Bob & Carol told us a lot about the area. It's a good location for visiting many places, we visited Isle of Syke - Plockton - Fort Augustas where the locks are for the Caledonian Canal. All in all this was a wonderful place.

Left on 06/27/2009 for a stay in May 2009
After walking 18 miles that day on the Great Glen Way I had sore legs, sore feet and was dying to sit down. I was greeted at the door by Carol who made me feel immediately at home. She took us to the room (which was clean, sunny and well decorated) and offered us tea and cake in the garden. I was sold!
After a refreshing shower in the immaculate bathroom I had tea on the lawn over-looking the river and climbed the few steps down to the river bank to take in the amazing views while Carol booked us a table in the local pub for that night.
A good night's sleep was followed by a good breakfast in the guests' lounge (also very nice - sofa, television, books and information on the area)and we were set off on our way with a packed lunch for our walk.
I probably sound like an advert but it's not often you come across a gem like this one. I'll definitely be going back and have already recommended it to friends and family - couldn't pick a fault.

My wife and I stayed at Bracadale for the second time this year and again were knocked out by the shear quality of the service provided. The room and facilities were excellent, and the breakfast was the best we had during two weeks in Scotland at various other locations. Bob and Carol provided an excellent 3 course dinner in addition and the whole experience was again fantastic value. This is not just B & B but Carol and Bob B & B.

Left on 06/11/2009 for a stay in May 2009
The Bracadale was booked for us by Hooked On Walking, as part of
our Great Glen Way self guided walking tour, so we didn't know
what to expect. We were very tired when we arrived to Bob and
Carol's. They greeted us with tea and home baked cake in their
lovely sitting room, set apart for their guests. Immediately we felt
welcomed and cared for which is especially appreciated when you
have been walking all day. Our room, like the rest of the house we
saw, was tastefully decorated with art from around the world. Bob
was quick to credit Carol for the artistic touches. They have
obviously travelled a lot themselves and are sensitive to the needs
of their guests from other countries. The bathroom, although not
en suite, was sparkling clean, spaceous and private. It had been
raining but we still enjoyed a walk around the property overlooking
the river.. very tranquil. The Bracadale is a few minutes walk from
the center of the village so a directional sign would have been
helpful for us on foot. Breakfast was delicious. It was a very restful
and relaxed stay for two weary walkers. We would both highly
recommend the Bracadale B&B to anyone.
