Offering great, ground floor accommodation with wonderful views over the river and surrounding hillside, this property is able to sleep a total of four people over one twin bedroom and one double bedroom. This attractive cottage is one of three purpose-built holiday lodges, just two and a half miles from the lovely village of Invermoriston. The living area is a bright and spacious open-plan room, with an integrated fitted kitchen. The outside of the property offers a great opportunity for alfresco dining, with its private patio and picnic bench. There is also use of a shared garden, complete with trampoline, and trout fishing is included in... the price.
Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, TV with FreeSat. Electricity on £1 coin meter. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Front paved area with picnic bench. One small well-behaved dog permitted at £15 per week. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2.5 miles. Note: Unfenced river near to property - children should be supervised at all times.
Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: In the heart of the Great Glen, situated just at the south end of Loch Ness, lies the small village of Invermoriston. With the word âInver' meaning âalong the course of a river' and the river Moriston flowing through the town, it's easy to see where this charming little village - and indeed the famous Inverness â got its name. Also passing nearby, is the Great Glen Way, a seventy-three mile walk â though if you don't quite feel up to such a stretch, there are plenty of shorter paths in the near vicinity. On the banks of Loch Ness, visitors can admire the imposing ruins of Urquhart castle â pronounced âUckart' by the locals â a sixteenth century construction which has played a major role Scotland's history. And of course, as demonstrated in the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre, anyone coming to see the great lake should look out for the monster!

The lodge was superb. Spotlessly clean with a very friendly welcome. The furnature & beds were very comfortable. The fishing in the river Moriston that runs through the land close to the lodge was a big bonus for my husband. He did catch but they were too small for tea!! We would recommend this place to anyone interested in a lovely place in the Highlands but be prepared to travel to visit anywhere as you would anywhere so far north in Scotland.
First time in Scotland. Love the people and the countryside. Nice, clean cottage. Good services.

The cottage we stayed in was extremely well presented and was in a beautiful location. There was a village shop and very nice pub/hotel 2/3 miles away and further facilities at Fort augustus 6/7 miles away. It was immediately accessible to the main road to reach the coast and Skye (40/50 miles). There are excellent walks in the area and of course you are immediately adjacent to the beauties of Loch Ness. I would certainly recommend this location to anyone as long as they allow for the variations of the Scottish weather.
Very nice and quiet place in a beautiful area

A very nice and quiet place in a beautiful area. Ideally suited for all who enjoy long walks in the area around the west bank of Loch Ness and close enough to the Isle of Skye and Inverness for daytrips.
Excellent accomodation equipped with everything a traveller might need.

A fully equipped, child friendly and homely athmosphere, centrally located for sight seeing in the Highlands, owned by kind and helpful people ... and a river runs through it, providing ample opportunities for fishing.
