The natural setting is spectacular, with lush surrounding forest giving way to open vistas and rough-and-tumble rhododendron gardens. Here on the ridge nights are dark and quiet, and mornings are beautiful whether drenched in clear light or sheathed in fog. We rate our weekend at Frank's Place as one of the highlight getaways of 2010 for us. The house is beautiful, the area is spectacular, and the owner is very gracious. In fact, we are going again iin august 2011. Don't miss it.

We stayed at Frank's place this past weekend with our friends and had a great time. The house is very clean and is well equiped. The hot tub was very nice, although a bit too hot. We planned activities but ended up purchasing local oysters, cheese and wine and enjoying our time together at the house.

We have a great family Christmas in Inverness. Frank's place would be great for a couple but was big enough to hold three generations of our family in comfort. Lovely views of Tomales Bay. Easy access to the Point Reyes Seashore. the hightlight of our holiday was hiking to Chimney Rock and seeing elephant seals basking on the beach on Christmas Day. The setting sun on the the cliff of Drake's Bay was gorgeous! A holiday to remember.

The house was as described by the owner. It was well kept and very clean.
The kitchen was well equipped for a party of 8. The views from all the
windows was gorgeous and the hot tub was well used by all. We were there
during foggy and rainy days and sitting in the hot tub with the soft drizzle was
quite the experience. There is also a fireplace which also added to overall
comfort.
We like to hike and could get to Inverness Ridge (and Point Reyes Natl
Seashore) by walking to the top of Drake's View Road (about 1 mile). You
need to drive to most other places in order to hike. -

From booking to arriving, to the stay itself, Frank's Place made life easier, even if just for the weekend. Great view of the bay with a bit of mountain in the foreground, and that hot tub perched on the hillside was great. The place itself is very comfortable with lots of windows and high ceilings. I hope to return soon!

Frank's Place is everything I hoped for and more. The views are unbelievable, space and furnishings, elegant yet comfortable, the hottub sublime. We stayed for the weekend and wished we could stay for the month. We will definitely return!

For our expanding but widely scattered family to enjoy "Franks Place" for Thanksgiving was the start of a new family tradition, we can only hope.
The house is in a beautiful setting, lovingly cared for, and a perfect environment for a family to gather. When a small mechanical problem developed, a caring, nearby neighbor was immediately dispatched to solved the problem. And no need to bring any books, CDs, or DVDs....the library allows guests to explore something you've always wanted to read/hear/see.
We hope to be there again, and again.
