The home is located in the immediate vicinity of the Lakeside Golf Course in Inverness. The home is completely furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer, a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a microwave for your convenience. The Lakeside Golf & Country Club is located in the heart of Florida's Nature Coast. Its central location allows for day trips south to the theme parks of Orlando and Tampa, but also north to historic places such as St. Augustine, the oldest town in the US. The Nature Coast gives plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature at its best. There are many sparkling clear springs and rivers that allow for snorkling, fishing, tubing and boating. In the winter one can swim with manatees, these curious, friendly, slow moving "gentle giants" and return with a clear understanding of the need to better protect them. There are many beautiful state parks and preserves in the area for those that enjoy a walk through a forest, a view of a swamp and encounters with many birds, reptiles and animals of the area.

Traveling with our extended family, we needed several bedrooms in order to accomodate everyone. Originally, we had booked with Lakeside Vacations a condo, however, when we got to the property, we discovered we had been upgraded (at no charge) to a villa. After opening the door to our villa, we immediately wished we would have booked for more nights!
For the price of a single suite, we got an entire villa, complete with an enclosed private pool. We had the property that had 3 bedrooms: 1 with 2 single beds that could be converted to a queen, a room with a king size bed and a room with a queen size bed. There were 2 full baths, grill, full size washer and dryer, and literally, all the comforts of home (and then some!) The entire villa was very clean and our whole family of 5 was impressed! The owner also offered some golfing deals at several area golf courses (which we didn't need, but a nice perk!)
There is plenty of area information in your villa if you are interested in some local sights.
We used this as our home base for our visit to see manatees at Homosassa Springs Park.
The properties are a little over an hour and 20 minutes from Orlando and are situated right on a golf course, closer to the Gulf side of Florida. It is the perfect home base if you're over the hustle of an amusement park atmosphere. If you are vacationing in Florida and want to relax without being too far from popular attractions, we highly recommend Lakeside Vacations! -

The house was lovely and in perfect condition upon our arrival. It was very inviting and comfortable. We enjoyed the heated pool and just hanging out in our beautiful surroundings. The location was good, being close to town and an excellent restaurant where we enjoyed wonderful meals on the screened in patio. I don't think we could have found any other vacation villa this great for the price we paid! If I was rating our stay at Lakeside Vacation, between 1 and 10, I would give it a 10 1/2.
