      Beautiful, family friendly rental

Left on 08/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Stayed here with my husband and two small children. Warm welcome and plenty for kids to do. Trampoline, play set, swimming pool, toys. Great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and castles. Clean, comfortable accommodation in beautiful historic house. Highly recommended. Would love to stay there again.

      fabulous

enjoyed our few days at Logie Country House. We stayed in the east wing of the house and it was beautiful. Everything there that you needed -home from home. The standad of cleanliness was excellent. The party consisted of 7 aduls and 2 children aged 8 and 5. Lots of things for them to do, exploring the grounds and making friends with the chickens. I would recommend it to any of my friends and I definitely would make a return visit. The owner Tim makes you feel very welcome and he is always there to meet your needs.

      Home from home

Left on 11/06/2010 for a stay in August 2010

We had a lovely warm welcome and introductory tour around the house, which is comfortable and spacious.
It really did have that "home from home" feel as Sara has ensured that the house is well equipped (e.g. an abundance of kitchen equipment, including day to day essentials such as salt, cooking oil etc. and thoughtful additions, such as clock radios in every bedroom).
Everything was well maintained, of good quality and very clean.
Whilst the overall setting was lovely and quiet, we experienced loud noise in the master bedroom each morning which was coming from the children in the owners house next door (this was the only negative we experienced and explains the loss of one star on the comfort rating of this review).
We didn't want to mention this during the holiday, as it's important to remember that next door is the owners family home too, therefore a little noise is perhaps to be expected.
The location is great as there's lots to do in the area, plus the guides provided in the house and the owners local knowledge provide lots of further inspiration if needed.
We would thoroughly recommend Logie Country House and think it will be extra special when the pool etc. opens shortly.

      Beautiful Place To Stay

Left on 10/20/2010 for a stay in August 2010

We would like to thank Tim & Sara for a lovely stay at Logie Country House. The accomodation is perfect for famlies or groups of friends with plenty of space and entertainment for everyone, the whole house was very clean and really comfortable, we loved the wood burner at night and the kids have been pleading for a wii since we got home!!
The little touches make a big difference like getting chicken food for the kids ( to feed the chickens not themselves!! )or fishing rods when we found out the river was stocked with brown trout, and the owners make a big effort to ensure you have a comfortable & enjoyable stay without being intrusive.
We can't wait to return when the pool will be finished next year.

A truly wonderful place to stay!!!

Left on 10/03/2010 for a stay in September 2010

We absolutely loved our stay at Logie Country House!!! A huge, extremely comfortable house, where every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. Immaculate, pleasant, warm, comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen is superb! We loved that there were two places to "hang out" in the house, and even when the weather wasn't wonderful, and we stayed in all day -- we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I absolutely loved my bedroom and looked forward to curling up under the down comforter with my book each night. We would love to stay again!

Great location - spacious and relaxing

Left on 09/30/2010 for a stay in September 2010

Felt very welcome when we arrived, were given a short tour of the accomodation and had things explained to us, e.g. heating controls, dishwasher, etc.

Accomodation is spacious and has been prepared to a high standard, with a well equipped lounge, kitchen and bathroom (bath is plenty large enough for a couple to relax in); showers in main bedroom (en-suite wet room) and main bathroom were good. We didn't use the en-suite to the second 'king size room', and this en-suite seemed adequate, but not up to the standard of the other two bathrooms. There is no downstairs toilet at the moment (there are three upstairs) - this wasn't a problem for us. The main bathroom window really needs vertical blinds (or something similar) fitted as it looks out across the coutyard to the main house and privacy can only be obtained by closing the curtains which shuts out the natural light - we did mention this to the owners, so hopefully they'll address it (they seem to be really interested in our feedback).

The bed we slept in was very spacious and reasonably comfortable: the bed linen, pillows, etc. of a very high standard and lovely and soft.

There was still some renovation work underway on the main house (swimming pool) and the stables, the owners let us know what was going on and this didn't disturb us at all; it looks to me as if this should be complete within a few months, but you might like to check if it is something which would really bother you.

Grounds are fantastic, we particularly liked the fact that you could just put on your walking boots and disappear off for a few hours - the owners have provided a couple of guides for local walks on local paths/tracks; other longer walks are not far away, especially at Bennachie Hills / Forest.

Overall we had a really relaxing break and look forward to revisiting once the pool is open :-) Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

      Great location and superior service!

Left on 07/28/2010 for a stay in July 2010

After looking through the web for a holiday let suitable for myself and my business collegues travelling north I came accross Logie Country House and was sold from the moment I saw the pictures. The rooms were comfortable, spacious with tastefull decor.Although we did not make use of the kitchen it was well equiped and of considerable size. The large lounge area provided us with all the space we needed for our daily meetings and the grounds provided ample parking for us all.

      Decedent yet tranquil

Left on 07/28/2010 for a stay in July 2010

Both myself and my partner found this the perfect location for getting away from the busy city for a quiet romantic weekend away, the accommodation is luxurious and the location is beautiful, we visited Fraser Castle which is one of many interesting and historic places to visit nearby and we had several lovely walks set in idyllic surroundings within the grounds. Highly recommended stay...
