Our family of four stayed at Bear Hug for three nights. We have rented through Bpla and others many times and this was by far the best rental. Location is perfect. We walked up to the lift through the trail many times, cross-country skied with lift service, came back for lunch. They have thought of everything you need, beds nice, extremely clean and organized, quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Felt like someone cared, like a favorite auntie who keeps up a place for everyone in the family to use. What a treat!

My son and I rented Bear Hug for a ski and snowmobile vacation. This rental unit was more than we expected! Very comfortable and clean a wonderful place to stay. While we were staying at Bear Hug the owner of that unit called to see if we had everthing we needed and were pleased with the unit. I have been renting places to stay up north for over 3o years and that's the first time ever the owners called to see if everything was ok. I will absolutly rent here again. The staff at Powderhorn could not have been more accommodating. What a great trip we had. The snow conditions were the best in ten years. I can't what to come back.

Bear Hug was really comfortable. Everything in the kitchen was well labeled and we didn't spend a bunch of time trying to find stuff or figure out how things worked. The furniture was really comfortable too and we had a great fire two nights in a row.
We would absolutely stay there again. It was, by far, the nicest and most comfortable place we have stayed at Powderhorn. The only disappointing part is the chairlift that we could have walked to from the path in the back was not operating. -

Have been coming to Powderhorn every year for more than 7 years. We always enjoy the skiing and try to plan our trip when the Bear Hug is available. It is always neat, clean, and feels very "homey". Staff at Powderhorn are very friendly and accommodating. We will continue to come back. We are from east central Illinois and feel that the U.P. has the best skiing in the mid-west. The extra mileage is certainly worth it.

Location was good. Well decorated, needs new frying pan that is none stick and is larger and does not wobble. Beds ,sheets,pillows where exhalent.
