We had stayed at a different cabin last year, but needed to find one that allows dogs this year. We were very happy with this choice! It was roomy and had almost everything we needed to feel at home. (Maybe better since we do not have a dish washer or fireplace at home!). The laudry was very nice.
The weather was a little wet and cold, but since we were there for 5 nights, we got in some good walks to waterfalls and Lake Superior. The trees were near peak, so that was nice, too. Having a fireplace to come home to was a real bonus. We loved that it was surrounded by trees, too.
The one thing I would suggest is to clean the kitchen better. There was food remnants left in the fridge and I had to go out and buy a new coffee maker becasue I didn't want to use the one provided.
All in all, though, I would highly reccomend this cottage to a family- especially one with a dog! -

This house was great. It was comfortable and well supplied. We had enough room to invite family over to relax a visit with us. Air conditioning would have been great being the weather was so hot.

Enjoyed the close proximity to the lift, within walking distance. Able to eat lunch at Edelwiess without missing much ski time.
Loved the laundry facilities. Able to pack lighter knowing I had washer and dryer at the place I was staying. Liked drying the gloves over lunch.
Very quiet. Loved the small fireplace. Loved the ski closet on the porch. -

Eidelwiess is the perfect house to stay at. It is absolutely perfect for that get away weekend. It is close to the slopes, intimate settings and has everything you need to be comfortable on a winter's night.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at Edelwiess for the 4th of July holiday. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. My only advice would be to keep your garbage inside the house and let it pile up because we took ours outside and a very sneaky raccoon and his friend skunk took residence inside our garbage can and chewed it apart. They greeted us by the front door one evening as we returned. We ended up picking up garbage three times because the cover would not stay on the can. A worker for the rental company came on the holiday and picked up our trash can and brought us a new one promptly. The water pressure in the shower is minimal at best, but the rest of the house certainly makes up for it! I highly recommend renting this unit and would gladly rent again in the future.

The Edelwiess is a fantastic place to stay. We stayed on a snowmobile trip and found it very convienent to trail 2 and plnety of places to eat near by. The house itself is very clean and nice inside well worth the cost.Check in was easy and painless as well as check out was smooth. The only issue I have is the washmachine is to close to the toilet in bathroom off the one bedroom.
Here 3 more rentals located nearby.
