We took the kids for spring break, the hot tub and pool table were much used by all. I lived the fireplace and the loft for just looking out the window at the mountain. Probably our favorite family vacation to date, definitely will be repeating next year!!!

PoleskiGreat place to stay for skiing
Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed here in 2013 and had a great time. Kitchen is fully stocked, hot tub is maintained daily and water was always hot... full stereo system that ran throughout the house was fun. Basement and 3rd level hallway are bigger than pictures show, plenty of room for an air mattress in both locations. Clean, New, probably best option in Bpla village because of amenities. We will be back!
As for service, Bpla has many problems with their staff. Most of the time they are short, or unspoken, and you really get the feeling they don't like their jobs. Year after year, I have a hard time with this because people come up to Hurley for an experience and to have fun, and part of that memory will be the people they meet. Bpla could use a class on "Hug your Customers" Jack Mitchell or any basic service level class as mandatory trng. for their employees. Bpla please understand what you say and how you say it is just as important as the number of runs on the hill at Powderhorn.Response from Big Powderhorn Lodging Association - 02/13/2013

I spoke on the phone to the guest about her concerns and it was a very helpful conversation. The guest happens to be in the travel industry so is sensitive to the little nuances of guest services. I appreciated her input so we can become even better. The conversation also gave me the opportunity to share that I had just reviewed three or four dozen other Flipkey reviews for the month of January. Those guests that had something to say about our staff gave them glowing reviews. We accept any opportunity to polish our guest services. This guest’s input gives a chance to shine even more.

We visit the Bessemer area each year to catch up with the family. We need a place to relax between visiting and eating. And we need a space to entertain. Poleski has everything you need to host a pasty fest for 14. A dishwasher is a must and it's there. The great room is comfortable and full of light. It has a great view and lots of outdoor space.

Left on 05/16/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We usually stay at Powderhorn each year in the summer or early fall for many years. Poleski was the best place we have stayed so far. A very private loft master suite, comforatble common areas and patios, and a fun basement with tv, pool table, sauna etc.
The only minor disappointment was that the hot tub is drained in the off-season, which wasnt made clear when we rented. But not a big deal for our visit. -

This is the second year that we stayed at Poleski and will plan to repeat again next year. The accommodations fit our family of eight adults perfectly and the hot tub is a great ending to a day of skiing.
The shuttle to take us the four blocks to the ski hill was timely and very friendly.
We highly recommend Poleski. -

My wife and I have spent time at Poleski on several occassions, and it is always a wonderful stay. Even though there was the absence of snow, the weekend was still gorgeous. The combination of the fireplace, and the beautiful views out the windows, was so relaxing. And to top of the weekend stay, the last night there, it snowed. Being inside next to the fire with the most beautiful woman in the world, watching it snow; it doesn't get any better than that. I almost actually felt sorry for others not experiencing what we were enjoying! Many thanks to Powderhorn, and the owners of Poleski for a wonderful time.

Very well laid out floor plan allowed privacy and family gathering. Great fireplace. Sauna worked well but the low bench is too low.
We were disappointed that the hot tub was not working. -

Poleski was a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and very accomodating. We loved having the main floor living area to hang out in, as well as being able to play pool downstairs. The scenery was great, and it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Definitely will be back.

Spent 9 night in Poleski from 6/7 to 6/16. This home has it all. We loved the location for exploring the area and having a nice quiet place to come back to. Having WiFI and a washer & Dryer were a great help. Watched progress on the building of the new Powderhorn Chalet. Explored all the local waterfalls. Thanks so much for making your home available for renting.

Enjoyed the best skiing in a long time while here. Too bad the main lodge burned down, thankfully no one was hurt. The Poleski unit was excellent! Enjoyed nice fires, shooting pool, hot tub and sauna.

The "Poleski" was absolutely perfect! My wife and I and 2 small children, My parents, Sister brother in law and her boys had an incredible time. It was a one of a kind experience, we had all of the comforts of home including Wi-fi, pool table and sauna. We played games and had a ball. We also explored the area quite a bit. I had forgotten how beautiful the area is! Thanks for an amazing vacation! We will be back!

Over the years I've stayed at many trailside units and did for one night of this stay. The hot up weather had me looking for an airconditioned unit. Poleski was suggested and we moved. The unit was excellent. It was new, air conditioned, had great facilities, had plenty of bedding for my family and was comparable, even nicer than many trailsides. It's great to see places being remodeled and updated. I will stay here again, winter/summer.

Bpla staff are so awesome, and so when they called me to tell me our rental had been changed, I really was not worried. I knew they'd make everthing all right. But I was wrong. They made it even better by getting us this phatty condo that far exceeded our expectations. Poleski is incredible...just take my word for it. We've been with you guys for years and Bpla and will always return. Thanks so much!!!

Left on 03/11/2010 for a stay in March 2010
i really was skeptical about driving an estimated 7
hours to ski in the midwest. having a month or so
of winter left i want to get a ski trip in with a
couple of friends. since we dont have a private jet
or limitless funds we decided to drive to the
nearest place that would resemble a real vacation.
it took about 2 weeks for us to decide on the "big
pow" and my travel mates and i are very happy with
the outcome. the drive was more like 5 and 1/2
hours with more than a few reststops on the way, by
the way we came from downtown area of chicago,
sorry. our house was amazing, too much stuff to go
over, just think of everything you would want and
then add a pool table! the people were very nice
and the town of ironwood is charming. if you are
going to stay for a while, i would suggest
shopping at the local walmart. the dining is really
sub-par at best in town. our house had a newer
kitchen setup and a grill that we used all the
time. go and visit the u.p. and powderhorn, you'll
have a blast! -

Awesome Accomodations! Couldn't have asked for anything better. Very clean, everything you would want in a ski resort. Close to the Hill, enough space where the kids could do their thing and the parents could relax. Booking this same place for next year!
