Left on 03/10/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We were there when it snowed heavily. The first day we had to asked to be plowed out and never saw the plow again. Nice and clean - awesome shower and sauna. No dishwasher which surprized me as every other chalet we have stayed at had a dishwasher. The view would have been very nice had we been able to see it- (snow and wind) The coaches were really over stuffed. Hard to sit on and get comfortable and very difficult to get out of.

We, as a couple, always look forward to coming to stay with you at Big Powderhorn rental units. We have stayed for over a decade, and one of our favorite places in the Village is the Grand Getaway. It is perfect for the 2 of us, and we love it's cozy, clean and modern accommodations. The steam room is great after a day out on the trails, and the hot tub, although someone discolored in water color, is a bonus. Beds are cozy, and the view is beatiful, as well as private. We hope you will keep an affordable rate in the future for couples like us, who look forward to the 'great escape' in the Winter Snow.

Great location, so close to the ski fields. Easy drive to lots of beautiful waterfalls and lakes. The nature walks are numerous and wonderful.
We were there for a romantic getaway in the summer. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin did get a bit hot with no air conditioning and only a little fan, however it would be perfect in the winter.
So easy to check in and out, we just picked up the key left in pidgeon hole for us and dropped it off.
The cabin was clean, furnished well and kitchen equipped with everything you would need. -

we enjoyed our stay. this is the third time we stayed in the grand getaway. only one complant. this year the unit was not as clean as in past years. mold in the shower. food sliped on the floor and the stove had something stickie on the front. not a big deal, not as good as past years.

The place was great! Bathroom has a big steam shower & whirlpool tub. The unit has a total of 5 queen sized beds on 3 floors, more TVs than we could turn on, a nice gas fireplace & a great view of Powderhorn. Very private location, but close enough to the hill to walk (or skate-ski).
Our only complaint would be the two squeaky beds on the 2nd floor. They both have metal frames & are loud! Seriously loud. The other three beds are good though. -

The house was very cute. The kids loved that they each had their own room. The shuttle service was awesome. Most days we had the slopes to our selves so we were able to get in a lot of skiing. It was so nice to be able to come back and hit the steam shower or the whirlpool tub.

The Grand Getaway was perfect. Loved the view of the hill especially to see the lights on at night. Good ski conditions. Convenient shuttle service. Great customer service everywhere we went. Thanks for a fabulous weekend. I will pass along the name of this a-frame to others. Very well done. Thanks to all the staff at Bpla.

Great Mini Vacation at the 'Grand Getaway"
Superior,WiCharming and Romantic!
Left on 01/27/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Very cozy and cute. The interior was decorated very nice and the location was private in comparison to other rentals. We loved the steam room and shower, and jumped outside for an exillerating cool-down afterwards. One of the nicest rentals for the dollar that we have found. The "only" complaint we had was the difference in temperature throughout the unit. The main floor bedroom and bathroom was hot in comparison to the rest of the place. To lower the temp in those places meant that every other room got colder... but over all, We Will Be Back!

We loved the homey feel of the house. It was perfect for our family of five.. Loved the Christmas lights and the DVD player. It had everything. The only thing to change would be softer matresses for main bedroom on first floor and 2nd floor.

We had a bit of a tough check-in (wasn't cleaned yet) but the resort made up for the short coming. There was wonderful weather and adorable accomodations. The only complaint would be that the beds aren't very comfortable/noisy but we would definitely come back! What a terrific vacation! Thank you so much!

Left on 09/29/2010 for a stay in September 2010
My husband and I traveled to the up with my in-laws for a wedding. The drive up was beautiful and we were pleased to see how cute The Grand Getaway really is! The inside has a nice warm cottage look and feel. The couches were quite comfortable and the kitchen table was plenty large to enjoy a meal on. The bathroom shower is very spacious, although I think some of the tiles could have been cleaned a little more. There is a very spacious deck on the back and a cute fire pit. We were even able to see two deer in our backyard on the first night! My only complaint would be the two beds on the second floor have very hard mattresses and the bed frames are very squeaky, even just rolling over in your sleep made a lot of noise. Overall I was pleased with our stay and if they replaced the squeaky bed frames I would stay again for sure!

Left on 02/26/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Adorable place! Very clean and cozy! My only complaint would be the water! I was looking forward to taking a bath after a long day of snowmobiling but the water is very yellow and once I put the jets on, the water became scummy! Other than that, the steam shower is very nice and large! I loved the lights hanging through the inside and the fireplace was nice and cozy. I would highly recommend staying here but don't count on using the bathtub!

Twin CitiesMLK weekend for 3 couples
Left on 01/28/2010 for a stay in January 2010
For 6 adults and 2 young teen, the lodging was more roomy than anticipated. Sound insulation between bedrooms, however, was poor and lighting, especially reading lights, inadequate. Open kitchen, dining, living space a plus. Sleeping in the loft only recommended for those sufficiently agile to maneuver the steep ladder.
