My family and I stayed 6 nights in Trailview 1 and, like most "chalets" in the area, it is rustic with older decor. The stay was pleasant and the home is generally comfortable. We cooked most breakfast meals and a couple of dinners successfully but the kitchen could be better stocked with bowls, pans, etc. used for cooking. The gas-powered heater stove in the living area was key during such a cold time in the up. Bedrooms were comfortable and the entire chalet was very clean and well-kept. The location could not have been better, being just across from the main lodge at Big Powderhorn. Unfortunately, there were several things that did impact our stay somewhat - paramount among these was the hot tub/spa located in the basement. While it was clean, functional, and well-heated, the room in which it is located is just slightly bigger than the spa itself and it is not well ventilated, despite an exhaust fan; this led to most of the members of my family experiencing breathing difficulties and problems with irritation of our eyes from all the vaporized chlorine not being able to escape. We could only stay in the hot tub for about 15 minutes and we eventually left and never went back into it, which was upsetting as we enjoy time in hot tubs. Besides that, the rest of the stay was pleasant. Minor problems included a very small upstairs shower and blinds in the master bedroom that need repair so they can be opened. Overall, a nice stay but some updating would make the chalet much more appealing and encourage repeat visits.

the booking fee seems like an excessive fee, if you book at any motel/hotel, there are not extra fees for choosing them. we like the hill and the convenience of having a house like enviroment, but we did choose your mountain instead of any other local place to ski, and feel that the additional fee isn't right.

The location and condition of the unit were fabulous; close to the hill, clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable week's stay. Seeing the hill from the bedroom was an awesome way to wake up every morning. Already looking forward to next year!

We have been renting for 9 years and this is the best place yet! We definitely will rent this unit again - it was perfect. The kitchen and dining room are so nice and having the breakfast bar made it easy to get everyone going in the morning!

We had a great trip. Filled with fun, laughter, and of course skiing. We came with some family that have never been to Big Powderhorn, they had a great time and nothing but good things to say! Trailview 1 was a wonderful place to stay, very well kept. The remodeled basement was beautiful; the hot tub was the perfect thing after a long day of skiing! The service all week from rentals, to lodging, and restaurants was wonderful. My fiance have been to Big Powderhorn two years in a row now and have loved our time there, and hope to continue to vacation there year after year. Thanks!

This hill was excellent. Was a great hill for the somewhat experienced skiier but a little tough for a beginner to learn on. The new night skiing was wonderful but, wish they would open a couple more runs. Staying in one of the lodges is definately recommended. Everyone I was with loved the spacious accomodations. The Hot Tub in Trailview was very nice but we could not find the thermostat and it was a little hot. The rooms were nice and big. Everything was clean and the fire place was a great thing to come back to after the full day of skiing. Prices were a little high but not the worst around. I am definately looking forward to going back in a few years.
Here 3 more rentals located nearby.
