Additional Location Information
The property is situated on the tranquil south side of the island away from the hustle and bustle, whilst being within easy reach of everything, after all Isla is a tiny caribbean piece of paridise!
Isla Mujeres has many enjoyable activities that range from relaxing on the beach with an icy cocktail, to tangling with a mighty sailfish on a sport fishing excursion to swimming with dolphins and whale sharks, a huge must! If you like fishing then this is the place, and even if you don't you can swim with the game fish :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH0SqgyXNxQ&feature;=share, amazing!
You can also take advantage of the islands proximity to many other great excursions such as Tulum and Playa Del Carmen.
There are many snorkeling and diving operations that take groups out to some of the local reefs for some fantastic snorkeling. In most cases a reservation is not necessary to arrange a trip. Around the ferry dock and the beach there are usually representatives available for snorkel and dive trips. Equipment is usually included in the price and the guides are very knowledgeable about the local reefs and marine life.
If you are interested in scuba diving, there are several great dive facilities located on Isla Mujeres. Diving around the island provides a wonderful experience for beginning, intermediate and experienced divers. There are reefs in shallow, low current water for the new divers to reef drift dives for the more experienced. For a great experience, try the Cave of the Sleeping Sharks or one of the local shipwrecks like Ultra Freeze. Information is readily available near the ferry dock as well as the downtown dive shops. You can also arrange great trips to dive the world famous Cenotes, a must for any diver!
Garrafon Natural Reef Park is a snorkel park located at the southern tip (Punta Sur) of Isla Mujeres. This park is unique as there is a reef located just a few feet off the shore with many colorful fish. This makes for wonderful snorkeling without having to book a trip or get on a boat. For those not interested in snorkeling there are lots of hammocks and chairs for resting, a huge pool for cooling yourself and plenty of staff just waiting to bring you snacks, lunch or drinks!! This is a great day trip for families with small children.
Take a trip to see some fantastic Mexican or historic sites. Anything from a day trip shopping in Cancuns Malls and Mercados to trips to view the ruins of Tulum will make an exciting addition to your vacation. The Cancun-Tulum corridor (Riviera Maya) provides all sorts of excursions. Here, there are a couple of natural parks as well as quaint cities such as Playa del Carmen (ferries depart daily from Playa to Cozumel).

We were a group of seven mixed age family and friends staying for a week over the Christmas holidays. The house was perfect for our needs. On three levels, there was plenty of privacy when needed as well as comfortable living space to gather. The beds and bedrooms were comfortable--a few hangers would have been nice--and the house in general looked after. The kitchen is pretty basic, we bought a coffee maker and a toaster which will make others stay more comfortable too if they stay in the house. Both the on site caretaker and the concierge the owner put us in touch with were very helpful. The house is in a very quiet situation off the main road and within easy walking distance to the sea on both sides of the island. We liked being on the quieter south side, you can take a lovely walk around the end of the island to the Mayan ruin and sculpture garden and the busy north end is an easy golf cart ride away. But if you want to relax, stay put, it's heavenly.

First I must start by letting everyone know I have been visiting the island for 10 years this year. This has been my first trip where I truly relaxed everyday and it all has to do with Casa Miquelitos. From start to finish it was flawless. The gentleman in charge of the house greeted me as soon as I arrived on the island with keys and a walk through of the house to make sure I knew where everything was. The rooms were in 5 star hotel shape. The beds were the best in mexico I have ever slept in. Plentyfull of towels, toilet paper, water, silverwear, plates, glasses, everything you could need. I stayed in the house with 4 bedrooms, one of which had two beds in it. Although I was with one other, I could have been with 3 other couples and not felt cramped in the least bit. The pool was picture pefect and clean. The outdoor area was spotless. At night one of the perks of the south end of the island is the lack of bright lights. I spent a few nights on the roof top terrace with friend's drinking wine and felt as if the stars were in reach. I have truly come to love this island with all my heart. Its a part of who I am, and what I have become. Without a doubt in my mind, I will be staying here for the rest of my adventures on Isla Mujeres. Truly a Gem in the Carribean. Im looking forward to my next trip, and my next stay at Casa Miquelitos.

We stayed at Casa Miquelitos for 10 days with 5 persons. The house is located in the very south of the island - note that the location in Tripadvisor´s Google map is not correct!! - so we strongly recommed to rent a Golf Cart which gives you all flexibility and is fun! The island´s supermaket Chedraui is about a 10 min. drive away.
The house is spacious, clean, well equipped, extremely quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is rather simple -at least a coffee machine would be nice. The beds are remarkably comfortable.
Isla Mujeres is a small island with not too many things to do - so it´s the ideal place for relaxing. There aren´t too many public beaches, if you like snorkeling you can go to Hotel Garrafon which is within a walking distance - not breathtaking but nice. Isla Mujeres is mainly living from tourists coming from Cancún for a day trip and going back by night, so it becomes beautiful after they have gone in the evening. Mujeres has a remarkable amount of only partly finished buildings, hotels etc. and these ruins do not contribute positively to the island´s appearance. We have never seen something similar in Mexico although we have been living here for more than 2 years. It´s really a pity as they could profit much of of their natural resources if they would only take care...
Nevertheless - highly recommendable! -

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Miquelitos. We rented the spacious 4 bedroom unit. It was clean and comfortable, the beds are great! The area is quiet yet safe and the neighbors are friendly. It was a family reunion for us that included 2 younger children. We all enjoyed the pool but especially the kids. Pool maintainance was there twice to clean and the water was always clear and fresh. This house is not walking distance to town so you need to plan for that. We opted for taxis and had no trouble what-so-ever getting a ride. We were a party of eight so that meant 2 cabs and we still had no trouble. We would head out to the main road on the the west side and start walking toward town. We never had to wait long. Renting 2 taxis, sometimes twice a day, was still cheaper than renting a golf cart---and must faster transportation. We also took advantage of nearby attractions including the restaurants at the smaller botique hotels that border the ocean on the west side.
If I had any suggestions for improvement it would be replacing or repairing some of the pool furniture and providing a coffee pot. Coffee means alot to us and instant just doesn't cut it.
All in all, great place to stay, great communication while booking, and oh yeah, great star gazing from the rooftop!

I stayed in Casa Miquelitos with my sister's and their families over the christmas period. We had lovely time and its one of the few houses where you can fit with larger groups (the house has 4 bedrooms and sister villa other 2). The place is spacious, located in the South point of Isla Mujeres, close to Villas Punta Sur. Some kilometros from the center, the main shops and the north beach, although very private area and there are interesting things plus restaurants in walking distance. Anyhow I do recommend renting a golf car or using taxis for discovering the island. Kids enjoyed the place, especially the pool and the living room. All of the bedrooms were nice. Kitchen is rather simple, but it is convenient for preparing breakfast and dinner, if needed. I think the price quality ratio of Casa Miquelitos was good. If needed, we were also offered consierge services and the handy-man lived close by (which we actually needed once for repairing a kitchen sink). The owner answers fast to requests and is helpful. I would recommend the place for families and friend get aways, and could rent it again.

Lovely spot. Coastline to front and back. Plenty to do both day and night within walking distance - waterpark, reefs, Spas, zoo, turle sactuary, bars, restuarants. Everything else is a short hop by cab, buggy or bike (the islands isn't huge). The accomodation is nicely finished and well equiped.

Amazing trip...I stayed in the large house at Casa Miquelitos. All my requirements and needs were tended to and the house was clean and very comfortable. I was really surprised and impresssed with the property given the rental price was at such a good rate. No doubt I shall be making use of this property when I visit Isla Mujeres again.

We went there with a two other couples for a relaxing break. It looked brand new inside and all the fittings and furniture were of very good quality. It was great to sit by the pool and relax in the pleasant surroundings. We're already planning to go back to the villa next year with more friends and we don't normally go back to the same place twice but it was so nice it would be hard to beat.
It's easy to get to the beach, shops and restaurants and nothing is too far away on this fantastic little Island. -

We stayed here with our toddler and it was an amazing holiday all round. The island itself is idyllic -small enough for you to get familiar with everything in a couple of days, but big enough to host activities to suit everyone.
The pool at the apartment was great to entertain our daughter and was small enough that she felt safe at all times.
The beach is so close and we were able to walk there every day, and there were plenty of activities on offer.
The apartment itself was perfect - clean, spacious and with great facilities and a very modern, fresh interior.
We are busy planning our next family holiday there already! -

What a beautiful, chilled island with amazing friendly locals.
The Island is small but with so much to do we never found the time to go to the main land.
We felt safe to let our teenagers get up to what teenagers get up to (with only the usual parenting worries that a protective father has over his two girls). Perfect family holiday!
Nothing could have rounded of our holiday more than staying in such a lovely villa; clean, modern and cool - We will definitely be staying in Casa Miquelitos Villa next year.

I stayed here with my brother and it was a perfect space to unwind from the Western business of day to day life.
With a sea view, the ocean is only a short stroll away, the apartment itself extremely nicely furnished with a contemporary, stylish and spacious feel and we spent many hours relaxing by the private pool under the sun.
Recommend getting a little golf buggy to get around the island which can be easily arranged.
We had a great stay and I look forward to returning -

Firstly the island is paradise with the beautiful white sands. No end of activitives on such a small island. The villas are amazingly decorated and well thoughout, spacious and stylish. Situated in a quite part of the island but with our little golf buggy we could zip into the heart of the island in minutes. Enjoyed a beer of an evening overlooking the sea from the roof terrace. On Lazy days we would relax down by the pool. These generally were after we had been to the main land Cancun for a night out which is easy accessible by boat. (20 mins) An amazing holiday that I would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. As a family with young children this offered everything we wanted. The pool was lovely and just the right size to keep an eye on the kids, the Beach was amazing... Acouple of nice little restaurants and bars near by but nothing to bolshy. Was a really nice family resort that had a homely feel as we could cater for ourselves as and when we wanted.
The apartments are new and very nicely furnished.
We would definately recommend these apartments.
