Sioux Falls, SDGreat place to get away!
Left on 02/18/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We spent 12 relaxing days in the Casa Rosa studio and enjoyed every minute. The apartment was spotless and has a kitchenette stocked with everything needed for casual meal prep. There is a friendly young man that comes daily with fresh juice delivery that we looked forward to every morning.
The view of the ocean is incredible and there are outdoor spaces offering both sun and shade. We spent hours on the balcony, just reading, relaxing and gazing at the beautiful water. The house's location, at the end of the airport road, is convenient walking distance to several restaurants and shops, and taxis pass by often for a ride into Centro.
We hated to leave our slice of paradise and hope to be back again soon! -

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs at Casa Rosa last week with friends and I can honestly tell you we couldn't find a thing to complain about! The mid-island location is perfect and being right on the Caribbean was a lovely spot. Gorgeous views and every amenity you can ask for make this a rental property to return to time and again. The owners, Mike and Rose, were very easy to work with, quick to respond when we had questions before our trip and have obviously put a lot of thought into what makes for a comfortable stay.
The house is right next door to Da Luisa which became our bar run on a daily basis. Nachos and guacamole to go along with a few margaritas in plastic cups and we headed back to our private pool and beachfront, set for the afternoon.
The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need if you plan to cook in but with all the fabulous restaurants here, we didn't do more than the aforementioned lunches and heating up a few Chedraui pastries in the morning. The blender, however, did get a good workout! Leave the front door open in the morning and a guy will show up on his scooter peddling fresh juices. Orange, Pina, Grapefruit, and one day--beet and chaya were offered. A little higher priced than you can buy in the local stores but, hey...delivered to your front door!!!
There were plenty of towels, pool floats, lounge chairs, etc. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms but i think we only turned it on once when it was a bit still and humid one day. The upstairs studio apartment is darling and has fabulous views. There's a rooftop deck, but aside from checking it out, there was no need to use it as we had fabulous views from the ground floor patio. Beds are a bit hard--typical Mexico style but not really a complaint as much as an observation.
Drew, the property manager, stopped by regularly to make sure we were ok and the pool cleaners and the housekeepers (who came every three days) were terrrific! We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Rosa! I can't think of anything that would improve this rental! -

goshen, nyCasa Rosa is a place you will return to year after year.

I have stayed at Casa Rosa for a week at a time three times in the last several years. I loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks outside the window. On my first visit, we filled the house with 5 friends downstairs and a couple in the upstairs apartment and it did not feel crowded. The kitchen and bath feel up to date, yet very Mexico. I was as comfortable here as I have been in a mucho star hotel, though at Casa Rosa you feel like you can settle in and be at home.
A typical day: We bought fresh squeezed orange juice from a young man who rode past our front door on a bicycle. We picked up freshly made tortillas from a little shop a few minutes up the street and made a wonderful breakfast. Then, some of us collected shells on the beach out the back door, while the others pulled up lounge chairs around the pool or on the deck and read and soaked up the sun. One of our group took a walk downtown (about 15 minutes) and back every morning before the rest of us got up. Then we discovered some great snorkeling on the other side of the island- just a quick golf cart ride (or cheap cap ride away). At the end of the day, we took a cab downtown and browsed the shops for a little while before dinner. There are many great restaurants in Isla Mujeres, but our favorite place was a homey spot near the ferry where they had plastic picnic tables along the water and the feel of sand in your toes was the best decor of all and the menu was just the freshest fish (and great quacamole, and cerviche).
I can't wait to go back - and I know it will be soon. -

Boston, MassachusettsStunning view and charming villa - jolie maison
Left on 11/26/2012 for a stay in April 2011
Pour les francophones: une jolie maison a bon prix. Casa Rosa is set right on the water, imagine watching the ocean from bed! There are so many things I love about this beautiful white villa. I stayed there with 2 other couples and the house was the perfect size for us. My partner and I were in the upstairs condo and it's just stunning. Very private and separate from the downstairs with its own wide balcony looking over the ocean on one side and a second balcony with hammock and palapas style roof on the other side looking over the street. Since we all shared the house, we enjoyed the pool and terrace downstairs. It was very pretty at night with nice lighting as nice as any high price hotel. My friends and I loved it. It's private and very pretty, one can sit by the pool and ocean and never go anywhere. But we went out to eat in the evenings and it was very pleasant. It is a relaxed island and one can slow down and tune in to a different pace. There are enough attractions on the island to keep one busy - shops, turtle farm, snorkeling places and a most beautiful sandy beach not over crowded. I recommend Casa Rosa to my friends, if you want pretentious don't go there, but if you are looking for a beautiful, well maintained comfortable white villa, Casa Rosa is a great deal. The downstairs would be perfect for a family with kids, it's very safe.

CharlestownA Beautiful and Relaxing Vacation Spot
Left on 11/16/2012 for a stay in November 2012
I just stayed for one week at Casa Rosa and didn't want to leave. The views from this waterfront paradise are outstanding. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Accommodations are comfortable and there is everything you need for a very relaxing vacation. The pool and lounging area are wonderful. While floating in the seaside pool, I could see the ocean and the breeze off the water kept me cool. It is in a quiet area and there is a great restaurant right next door with excellent food so there really is everything you need for a perfect vacation at Casa Rosa. I am recommending it to all of my friends and looking forward to going back again.

No espere lujos.
