Isla Verde beach attracts families, couples, and groups of friends wishing to relax and play. Beach activities include: swimming, kayaking, jet skis, para-sailing, windsurfing, banana boat rides. There is also fishing and surfing in other beaches nearby. In the neighborhood guests can find a variety of restaurants, ranging from local cuisine to international food, at all price ranges. 24 hour supermarket, pharmacy, grocery store, and bakery nearby. On Isla Verde Avenue, shop for gifts, visit a cafe, or check out the many hotels, casinos, bars, and nightclubs. Rent a car, bike, or scooter and explore! Great alternative for independent travelers/family, 1br 1ba sleeps 2-4 with futon, balcony view of isla verde beach. website www.reinitadelmar.com a very efficient way to stay in the "san juan area" without being in a casino or paying taxes and extra 25% resort fee. also included is a kitchenette and garage parking space which provide flexibility for meals and sightseeing. you are only steps from the palm lined beach, 2 beach chairs and 4 very nice beach towels, as well as linens are provided. hairdryer, iron/ironing board, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, stove, dishes etc. you may need a wifi enabled phone or computer to get good internet service near the airport.
before leaving luiz munoz airport stop at pr tourist info center, on the baggage claim level, they will provide you with local maps, driving maps, and the current issue of "que pasa" which lists events and adventures around the island.
a short walk to restuarants/shops on avenida isla verde and short ride for groceries at "pueblo" rt 187, ; about 20 minutes via routes 26 and 1 and you can be in old san juan! park at the paseo conandonga garage which is above the bus station, less than $5 for the afternoon...a great place to shop, eat and walk. going east, the el yunque rainforest is about 40 minutes and accessable for driving and walking.
please understand that this is not a new building, it has been updated, and i also made a few upgrade suggestions which were well received. you need to bring your own personal supplies and groceries. if you don't have gps, google a street map...many streets are 1 way. -

This condo was everything it was advertised to be and more. We lived on the balcony when we were not on the beach, just down below, or touring the island. The large green awning hanging over the balcony protects you from rain and also gives you shade the entire day. The kitchen facilities had everything we needed for snacks, lunches and we even prepared two meals for dinner there. The bath towels and beach towels were extra big and thick. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed and the air-conditioner worked very well without missing a beat. There was plenty of hot water and the shower head was movable as well as detachable so you could get it wherever you needed. Everything was super clean and there was no mildew smells which is often the case with beach condos and apartments. It is within walking distance of Walgreen's, Denny's and a small shopping Plaza as well as several good restaurants such as Piu Bello, Platos, La Playita and Metropol. I will certainly stay hear again when I next visit Puerto Rico.

I stayed here for 10 days in March. The location is fabulous. It is beach front and on the 10th floor. You are within walking distance to restaurants, casinos, shops and the grocery store. We walked to Pueblos (grocery store) with our suitcase and wheeled it back. The Hampton Inn across ave Isla Verde has a good bbq grill if you are feeling like a burger.
Mark the owner was very reliable. His was prompt to reply with emails and met us at the door when we arrived.
Puerto Rico has beautiful beaches and lovely people. I can't wait to get back there.
