A cosy, comfortable, beautifully appointed, 5 star, self catering cottage, situated in an area with outstanding natural beauty.

This beautiful 19th century gatehouse underwent extensive, yet sensitive renovation, to provide luxury accommodation for 6 people. It is perfectly positioned to explore Anglesey’s diverse rural and coastal landscape, with 4 of Anglesey’s finest beaches within 5 minutes drive.The Snowdonia National Park is also on the doorstep, with Mount Snowdon within 35 minutes drive.

The Lodge is part of a 340 acre family dairy and sheep farm, from which there are many vantage points with breathtaking panoramic vie...ws of the sea and the Snowdonia mountain range. The peaceful, picturesque setting makes for a perfect relaxing escape. The Lodge has extensive, enclosed, private grounds, with 2 acres of garden and woodland. It has a large tarmac parking area for cars and boats, a large games room and lockable storage for bikes, skis, golf clubs etc.

Just a couple of miles away is the seaside town of Benllech, with all its amenities and blue flag sandy beach. There is a wide choice of eating establishments locally, ranging from restaurants, country pubs, bistros to takeaways. The area also provides a huge range of activities to suit all interests e.g. magnificent coastal and mountain walks, castles, art galleries, antique shops, National Trust houses, water sports, biking, fishing, horse riding, golf, go-carting and a wealth of family orientated visitor attractions.

The cottage is all on one level with a patio overlooking the garden, open fields and Bodafon Mountain beyond. We provide a gas barbecue, garden and patio furniture to enable you to make the most of the picturesque setting, relax and dine outside during the long summer evenings.

The lounge has the original inglenook fireplace with its unique fossil studded limestone lintel, a real flame (wood burner effect) gas stove and 2 very comfortable 3-seater leather sofas.

The dining room, which comfortably seats 6, has a solid oak floor.

All the beds have memory foam topped mattresses, to ensure you sleep like a baby. There is a twin room, a double and the third bedroom has a zip and link super-king, which has the versatility of being separated into two singles on request.

The bathroom has a whirlpool bath with radio and under water lights, power shower cabin and heated towel rail.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fully integrated dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer and CD clock radio.

The games room, in the adjacent building, has a table tennis table, darts, table football and a separate W.C. There is a L13ft x W9ft lockable storage room to store your outdoor clothes, boots, bikes, skis, golf clubs, kayaks etc. It also has an indoor clothes line.Read more

  Traveling in the UK in January is probably not the most appropriate time to holiday but due to a family Christmas get together we thought it would be OK. Unfortunately the weather was terrible but the accommodation was wonderful and actually was the saving grace for our visit. Delightful cottage with everything you could possibly want and would recommend it to anyone. Perhaps in a better month it would be perfect. Also there wasn't much to do or many places to eat due to the time of year so couldn't recommend anywhere. Also there was no internet which made it difficult to contact family.

  The ideal luxury get-away, rural, but with convenient amenities

  This was our second visit to Frigan Lodge, the first was enough to ensure a return trip booked well in advance. Dawn's attention to detail for the presentation of the lodge is wonderful and we were confident of another comfortable and relaxing fortnight break on anglesey- we weren’t disappointed. Once more we were greeted personally by Dawn and in the cottage there was a bottle of champagne and fresh flowers waiting for us which made us feel very welcome.
  
  The accommodation is well-appointed throughout but the centerpiece must be the bathroom with corner bath incorporating Jacuzzi jets, radio and built in feature lighting- truly sumptuous. The separate corner shower provides numerous settings for sitting and standing with side jets and alternate handheld and fixed shower heads which again, is just simply superb.
  
  We had great weather and enjoyed numerous barbeques using the gas grill and all the utensils provided. However, if the weather is not so good, there is a ready supply of board games, Dvds, X-Box with many games etc. to keep you entertained plus there is a double garage with table tennis and table football and darts.
  
  The location means that the small town of Benllech is only a few minutes drive away with all the amenities we require. Llangefni is a slightly longer drive away and is a larger town with supermarkets etc. for more comprehensive shopping.
  
  The grounds are plentiful and aside from the lawn with planted borders there is an area of "woodland" that the kids had enormous fun playing in alongside the abundant wild life and some friendly cows that peer over the garden wall!
