We had a really great time at this cabin! The kids loved it. The deck was really nice with a bbq and the lake was close. The cabin was small and cozy but plenty of room for all 10 of us. The had plenty of supplies for our entire stay. It only took us 20 minutes to get to the west yellowstone gate. There were a couple of mice which is so normal for a cabin in the mountains, and the road was pretty busy even at night but I would definitely stay there again!!!
The accommodations were adequate.

The bedrooms were small, but we didn't go there to stay inside. When we arrived, the house was closed up and pretty warm, but cooled down enough in the evenings that an air conditioner wasn't really necessary. The kitchen was good, with everything we needed. The decor was very homey and pleasant. I would suggest paying the extra to have the trash taken to the dump. It was a thirty mile round trip to take the trash to the dump, but other than the distance, not that big a hassle. Dump personnel were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean. There really wasn't much point in it being lakeside. It sat quite a ways from the shore, and the shore was a dirt bank covered in rock and virtually inaccessible. The boathouse was non-functioning. The good news is this was the least well-appointed cabin in the area, so the neighborhood was nice. All of that being said, I would stay here again. It was a good base for activities at a reasonable price. We never actually met anyone with the rental place, just phone calls, so I can't really rate service. There wasn't really any service to speak of. Since we didn't have issues (we're pretty low maintenance), I can't say anything about the service except maybe some kind of greeting would have been nice.
Stay at Finnfara on Henry's Lake

The cabin facility was great, but the cabin is right next to the highway. This is difficult and somewhat dangerous if you have little children. The owners needs to tear down the old boat house on the lake shore and develop a dock for boating and swimming. The lot was badly maintained and needed to be mowed and cleaned up. The walk from the cabin to the lake shore was an adventure. If all you want to do is sit in the cabin and enjoy the deck, the place was great. The vacation rental company was very good to work with. Henry's Lake is a late July and august summer vacation. June is a little to wintery yet!
Great place for a fishing trip, nice home.

Well maintained, great location;my only compaint is no dock on the property but a great value compared to anything on the lake. The rental agent made it a very easy and no-stress process to rent and add an extra day.I look forward to renting Finnfara in the future.
Good value for Yellowstone region

Even though the house is located close to the road, the road has little traffic at night. Bedrooms are below road level so noise not a problem. Basic comfortable and very reasonable place to stay. Cost per night was almost on par with motel room in West Yellowstone but with the option of self-catering.
we had a great time

The place is situated right on the water. We fished on kickboats so we just beached our boats every night and left them right on the bank. We had 7 people and the place accommodated us very nicely and was affordable. Overall a good value. I would rent it again.

The cabin had all the amenities we needed. Interaction with reservation agents was exceptional. We loved the location and hope to return. The lake turned over every day which represented the only negative of trip. We were still able to enjoy kayacking in it, however, and wildlife along the shore was spectacular. Enjoyed good fly fishing in the Madison, and other local rivers. Saw yellowstone and had great entertainment in West Yellowstone. I would recommend to anyone.
