horwichUpside down Lodge with a view
Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed at the lodge for one week commencing 26.9.11, and enjoyed it immensley. The upside down layout sounds strange when reading about it, but the kitchen and bedroom downstairs, and the living room upstairs make perfect sense when the view is enjoyed. The lodge is finished to a high standard throughout and although two years old looks brand new. The owners could not be more welcoming and helpful, and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. A lovely weeks break.

We had a fantastic time here. The lodge was wonderful, the hosts very attentive and welcoming. The lodge was comfortable, warm and had everything we needed, including lovely touches like walking books and maps. The views from the lodge were great and it's only a five minute walk to the best bar/restaurant on the island. Our dog also loved the place!

TighnabruaichGreat, comfortable stay on Mull
Left on 08/15/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The Granddaughter wanted to visit Balamory so this was not our first choice when looking for accommodation (2 adults, 1 child and large dog) but Tobermory was busy. Glad we did book here though. It is an excellent location for exploring the island and getting to Tobermory. Pub, restaurant and shop nearby all helped. The level of welcome, comfort, cleanliness, equipment and facilities exceeded our expectations and on the one day we decided to stay in - the TV, DVD player games, books and "in house" stuff kept me and the granddaughter (7 years of age) really busy. Certainly appreciated a walk to the pub that evening! I was able to keep in touch on my smartphone using the wi-fi and Vodafone Sure Signal made available. Oh and must not forget - they are dog friendly with some good walks nearby. We will definitely go back when we return to Mull and would recommend this lodge to anyone. Thanks to owners andrew and Janet who most certainly have a great product here.

This is the first time we haven't camped when visiting Mull and we are so glad we chose to stay here. The quality of the accommodation is excellent and everything you might need is provided. Andrew and Janet were excellent hosts with Janet going that extra mile going through her dvd's for ones suitable for the kids to watch when the weather wasn't so great. Not that that stopped us though - some great walks nearby that you dont need to drive to and others further afield. Our favourite spot on Mull - Calgary - is just 4 miles away. The local shop is very well stocked although small, just remember they close for lunch! Hopefully next time we go back there will be more sun but we'll definately be back no matter what.

It is not a lodge, it's a house! At least that is how we felt in this lovely, clean and fully equipped property, to the last detail..Like maps and guides, waiting for you to enjoy the numerous walks in the island. It is just 5mn away from the village of Dervaig where a long and lovely walk can take you to Quinish point .
Just have to frame the photos now and thank our hosts andrew & Janet. That was a great few days.Response from Andrew Stevens - 04/18/2011

Dervaig is a sleepy picturesque village and the Lodge itself was above and beyond our expectations situated in scenic surroundings, run by very nice people andrew and Janet. So nice to come home to after a days exploring of Mull. Betsy (our dog) loved it too.
I can't think of anything that would need improving.
Thank you so much
