Carrollton, GAYou know you made the right decision when you rent this house!
Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Nine retired friends get together for holiday the last 30 years. We count this house as one of the best. Room for all in comfort - even a pool table and golf cart! The owners were great to work with. The resort is huge and so were the gators on the golf course! You will not be disappointed if you choose this rental.

Matthews, NCFabulous Weekend in a Fabulous House!
Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This home was perfect for our group of six couples. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath and the decor was beautiful throughout the entire house! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking any meal and there is an ice maker and a wine refrigerator! The owner was more than gracious in responding to any questions before we committed to the rental. After we decided to rent, the owner was very helpful and accommodating. We departed the home on a Monday and received our security deposit on Wednesday!! The only problem is that we went in February and did not get to enjoy the pool or bicycles! Guess that means we will have to go back in the spring - summer - fall!!!

Spartanburg, SCAn extended family's vacation
Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012
My extended family --we are the grandparents of a daughter and son and their close offspring had the pleasure of renting 'The
Oasis' from Tom Davis the last week in June. Our grandchildren selected the site - the private pool and golf cart as well as the billard and pool tables were very enticing. I
went along with them but had planned to stay in
and read as I have rheumatoid arthritis.
It terned out that I was 'the leader of the
pack'.The master bedroom was everything a person
could want. I had planned to pack a bag as I
descended to the main floor each day, but found it to be very accessible.
Our 'grands' ages 11 - 16 stayed so busy that they 'forgot their hormones'. They stayed on the beach, using the bikes that came with the
house,or in the backyard pool. We never once
worried about them!
Needless to say, I returned home with an
unread book, but plenty of happy memories, as did our children and their teenagers.!

Left on 06/18/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Our family had eight adults and five children and ranged in ages from 18 mo. To 65 years. Every detail for making our stay comfortable was accommodated by The Oasis and considered by its owner. Each bedroom having its own bath is a great plus. Renting the golf cart was fun for everyone and having the Sports Card to access amenities was great. We golfed, went to the beach, rode around the island, walked down by the marina, enjoyed children's events at the Grand Pavilion, grilled out, enjoyed the pool ( the outside shower is great to have, too), played games in the game area, watched movies, rode bikes, went on a jet ski expedition, and in general made many new family memories. Dr. Davis is wonderful to work with and very attentive to us as his guests. Awesome vacation- can't wait to return!

The Oasis was immaculately clean. The house is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. Reclaimed elements blend beautifully with modern upgrades. The golf course view and landscaping were stunning! The downstairs game room and upstairs home theater system are a treat for all ages. We were in town for our son's wedding and this home provided the perfect "oasis" for our family to gather. It became the perfect setting for our son and his groomsmen to prepare for the big day! The photographer was quite pleased as well!

Left on 10/24/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Our women's tennis teams stayed at this house during our state competition. Everything was top notch from dealing with the owner to the actual accommodations. Each morning, from the master bedroom window and deck, we delighted as we observed the sunrise across the golf course with the palmetto trees silhouetted against the "painted" sky. More practically speaking, everything was clean, functioning and beautifully appointed. I think the only possible downside for a visitor would be if he/she had difficulty with stairs since the house is on three levels. In all other regards, this home is a winner!

Left on 10/12/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Three families rented this house and our works were all the same. Amazing. You absolutely cannot go wrong renting this house. It has a very convient location and you can walk to the Marina Grill. The pool is spectacular and has so many fun toys for both kids and adults. There is a terrific game room with a Pool table, board games, outdoor beach toys, bikes, chairs and the list goes on and on. When you arrive they even have personal soap and shampoo for you "just in case you forgot." The kitchen has every appliance you could possibly want and it totally stocked to accomodate 12 people. There is a bathroom in each bedroom and there are 6 of those. Each room has a TV and a dvd player. There is plenty of room to sit and eat as well. We traveled with 2 other families and we had breakfast and dinner with plenty of room and seats. We all would highly recommend this house. The owners are a pleasure to work with and very professional!

Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our family had the pleasure of staying at The Oasis for a week at the end of July 2011. We traveled with five other families ranging in age from 2 years to 70 years old. The house was one of the cleanest we've stayed in and there was something for everyone. From the pool to the pool table to games, movies, puzzles and more, there was never a dull moment...even the day it rained. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had no problem making dinner to feed all in our group. The ice maker in the kitchen was an added bonus! The bedrooms were all spacious and each bedroom had its own bathroom, allowing families "alone time" if they wanted it. The house is located in Wild Dunes resort which offered a free shuttle service to the beach or Grand Pavilion. The Sunday to Sunday rental was appreciated by all...especially when we saw the line of traffic coming onto the island Saturday. Tom was a very gracious host calling to make sure we had arrived safely and if we needed anything and was prompt in returning calls. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely use it again!

CharlotteWonderful house at a beautiful beach!
Left on 05/31/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This was our second stay at The Oasis, and we were not disappointed! We were traveling with other families with lots of children and never felt crowded or cramped. Each bedroom is spacious and has its own bath, which is nice for a little privacy. The kitchen is large and very well-equipped. There are three different porch areas overlooking a lovely golf course and the pool. Having a large basement was great as it allowed us to keep the beach equipment and gear out of our living area- and was also a great place to spread out and play pool or ping pong. Tom Davis takes great care of this home and it is obvious that the comfort of his guest ranks among hid most important considerations- there is really nothing you could think of that he has not already made available. We also appreciated the professional and generous manner in which he handled the business side of renting this home. We'll definitely be going back next year!

Our family (and extended family) has rented a number of houses on IOP, but Davis Oasis is by far the best. Our search for a perfect IOP home is over!

This house is simply wonderful; spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything one would possibly need for cooking (okay, maybe a knife sharpener would have been helpful - if one was there it couldn't be located). Access to both Wild Dunes resort and the house was easy and the keyless entry was great. And six bathrooms (one for each bedroom) - absolutely the best. All the children and grandchildren (and significant others) were in attendance and it was a weekend full of fabulous memories.

"A travel adventure has no substitute. It is the ultimate experience, your one big opportunity for flair."
The Oasis certainly provided all the necessities one could need or want in a vacation home. We found the accommodations to be some of the best we've experienced in our many years of summer rentals. All details were covered, from the bikes to games, movies and reading material. The pool provided hours of relaxation and the golf cart made traveling within the resort convenient.
This is one home we will visit again

NE OhioHome away from home
Left on 08/31/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This was our first family vacation with our 17-month-old and four year old and we were a bit apprehensive to say the least. After a canceled flight and a very long day, we were thrilled to enter The Oasis. It exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures of this home do not do it justice. It is far prettier than the pictures convey. And, it's clean! We felt like we entered a home away from home. We cooked breakfast and lunch every morning/afternoon and had dinners out. Days were spent cruising around in the golf cart and going to the beach/pool. The golf cart was key--a real bonus. The area where the house is located is so tranquil yet accessible. We thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed our vacation (and so did our little ones) and we definitely will return next year. If we are again able to stay at The Oasis, we certainly will. Incidentally, due to certain circumstances I had several conversations with the owner and he is a wonderful man--polite, approachable, friendly and down-to-earth. This may not seem like a big deal, but a person's character means a lot and his is representative of his beautiful home. We highly recommend this home and IOP/Wild Dunes as a vacation destination. Thank you!

This is a beautiful, gracious and comfortable home in Wild Dunes. There are 6 large spacious bedrooms each with a private bath. A well stocked kitchen and open floor plan made it easy for the entire family to sit around to eat, play games and enjoy each others company. The house had everything you could want. My family and I (party of 12 adults) had plenty of room to relax by the pool or one of the porches. The golf cart made it easy to travel around the resort. We are looking forward to returning to this home in the future! Highly Recommend! The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

The Davis House was terrific. Check in was effortless and the prearrival information about the house and Wild Dunes from Dr. Davis was very helpful. The house was very clean, modern, and spacious and everything "worked" and was conveniently located. The kitchen and dining area had plenty of room. The pool was especially enjoyed as were the ping pong and billiard tables.

Left on 06/03/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We have been getting together with a few other families over Memorial Day weekend for 13 years. This year we rented the Oasis from Tom Davis inside the Wild Dunes resort near Charleston, SC. The house was perfect for us! It is located on a pleasant street and looks out over a man-made stream and the fairway of the golf course. The home has its own pool which was great for the kids. The kitchen was very well-equipped and the gas grill was perfect for cooking for our crowd. Each of the six bbedrooms had its own bathroom, which made travelling with other families easier. There was an abundance of nice electronics, including a TV/DVD in each room, several stereos with outdoor speakers and free wireless internet. The basement doubles as a game room with a pool table and ping pong table. We felt like we were guests in someone's home, not rental tenants. The Davis family made available all sorts of extras like Dvds, games, books, beach toys, bikes etc. The home is not on the beach, but we found easy (uncrowded) access at the end of 46th Street. Having the golf cart made it very easy to get there and back. Mr. Davis was friendly, prompt, responsive and very easy to work with. We hope to stay in this beautiful home again!

Left on 05/24/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We celebrated our son's Citadel graduation by renting this beautiful home in Isle of Palms, and it was a fabulous choice. The home was beautifully decorated ~ like a home/not a rental ~ and was large enough to accommodate 10 adults plus an assortment of Citadel grads!
We hosted a post-graduation party for our son, his friends and their families. The well-stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare and serve with ease, and just let me say ~ the ice-maker was heaven-sent! We used it all, including the gas grill. Additionally, the kids used the pool and the pool table, and I think we all enjoyed riding the bikes and touring the resort via the golf cart.
I would also like to add that the views from the porch were fabulous and made for some outstanding photographs!
Our Citadel Graduation was an emotional event; one we'd patiently waited for, and it was everything we'd hoped for ~ a perfect day, a perfect celebration surrounded by lots of family and friends. The Oasis at Wild Dunes contributed to our memmorable weekend by being so lovely and so comfortable that it felt like home. It is a weekend that will stay in our hearts forever.
*****
We could have used a second refrigerator in the garage to hold cold drinks ~ we had to borrow some coolers ~ those Citadel grads are pretty thirsty fellas! -

Left on 04/22/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This is the second year in a row that our Bunko girls had their Beach weekend in Wild Dunes at the Davis' lovely home. There were 10 of us this year. I can't say enough wonderful things about this house and the area (Wild Dunes) We ate "in" two nights and went into Charleston the other night. The kitchen was well equipped. We grilled our steaks on the grill and all sat down together at the gigantic dining room table! We had a great time riding the golf cart and the bikes to the beach. We enjoyed sitting around the pool with the fish fountain providing a soothing sound in the background. It was on a timer so we didn't even have to remember to turn it on or off!
The bed configuration was perfect for our group. And, everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. There were BIG TV'S everywhere!
Being a party of 10 women and the fact that the weather was perfect, we only turned ONE on Once! But I'm sure if it had been raining or our husbands would have been with us, they would have definitely been used. I especially liked the location . It wasn't too far back into Wild Dunes... making it accessible to the rest of the island. I highly recommend this property. The Davis' have gone to great lengths to make their home a perfect place for families, couples,..... and Bunko ladies to relax and feel right at home. -

And it is spotlessly clean!! Having the bicycles was wonderful, plus the carrier for a little child or dog!! We enjoyed the pool table and ping pong! Feb was too cold to use the swimming pool, but it looks great. Loved the golf cart, nice to just ride around in a little!! Overall, a very nice home to stay in!! You will love it.
