EnglandComfortable, well-equipped holiday home
Left on 09/05/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Susan and Duncan,
Many thanks for allow us to stay in your Skye cottage for a week. We were blessed with good weather for most of the stay, and the couple of cooler days we had allowed us to make use of the wood burning stove to keep the cottage cosy and warm.
We found the cottage well-equipped and therefore made use of the kitchen most days and were able to keep ourselves well fed. There was nothing we wanted for in terms of appliances, cookware or utensils.
We had a great time exploring the island and can recommend that visitors take the time to also explore around the applecross peninsula for some fantastic scenary.
We'd happily visit again in the future.
Regards,
Peter. -

BordeauxMarvelous stay on Isle of Skye
Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Just returned from a two-week holiday in Scotland, with several days on Skye staying at Tigh Roisin. This turned out to be an ideal base for us, and convenient for hiking in the Cullens. It was also a good location for exploring Sleat, and Portree, etc, wasn't too far away. The house was easy to find, new and well-designed, attractively decorated, and well-equipped. When we arrived, the house was spotless. It is located on the main road, but we found it quite peaceful. There is a lovely view over the bay in front of the house and towards a moor behind the house. In terms of provisions, it's a few minutes down the road from a supermarket and next door to a great restaurant, the Red Skye. We are a family of three, with a 10-year-old, but it could comfortably hold 6 people.

CuparRelaxing Family Break, in an excellent location
Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012
You sometimes look at the pictures on websites and when you get there it nothing like what you are staying in, well here is not the case, simply put what you see on the photo's is exactly what you get.
The facilities are excellent as you would expect from a new build property, there are some sign of settling inside the house with some cracking around the corners which is to be expected.
The family bathroom is great with such a deep bat from someone who is 6ft 5" it was a great relax after a day's exploring.
The wet room was the best shower of the two and all the family liked the rain head, if there was one critism it would be that there was a lack of pressure on the shower compared the the rest of the house.
Master bedroom was huge with a very comfortable bed. The other two rooms were both well proportioned and catered two twin beds easily.
The kitchen had all the convenience from a home from home, Dishwasher, microwave, and a fridge freezer which was a bonus. The kitchen poser table was of excellent quality wood as was the dining room table.
Large glass windows at the from gave stunning views over the bay whilst at the back a patio door allowed access to the rear deck and views over the croft and beyond, only thing missing was outdoor seating to enjoy the evening sun.
Fantastic Smart TV connected to the internet as well as free access to the internet throughout the house was great for planning days out.
We enjoyed it so much that by the end of day 2 we had rebooked for October.
Once the external landscaping is completed this will be a fully compliment the inside of the property which will then mean a well deserved 5 Stars. -

CumbriaA warm welcoming and peaceful house.
Left on 05/30/2012 for a stay in May 2012
After a long scenic journey through Scotland it was delightful to enter such a warm welcoming house. This is a new-build house and is both light and airy. We found the decor tasteful and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The beds were so comfortable and luxurious...great after a days sight-seeing and walking. The walk-in shower downstairs was an added bonus for muddy tired walkers. There is a wood burning stove which we were hoping to use but the good weather we experienced meant the house was warm enough. It was lovely to be able to open the french doors at breakfast and watch the rabbits frolicking in the morning sun. The garden is still in the process of being landscaped. All in all we had a wonderful short break on Skye and would recommend this house.
