Description from the manager
One of two cedarwood chalets in a private setting near the shore of the sea loch. Within easy reach of the Isle of Skye, the chalets are also well placed for touring north to Applecross, Gairloch and the Inverewe Gardens and for walking in the famous hills of Kintail. An ideal spot for ornitholigists and anglers as there is sea fishing in abundance at most times of the year. Local woodland walks. Shops 2 miles.
This comfortably furnished chalet occupies an elevated position only 50 yards from the beach and enjoys views over the sea loch and small islands and to the garden.

Left on 09/27/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Seacrest was exactly what it said it was and we were very much at ease. Derek and Jane were friendly but not at all intrusive and we felt completely private and above all quiet! It's as comfortable as we needed , inexpensive and within easy reach of all sorts of attractions : walking, boating, sight seeing etc. Best of all our dog was welcome! We would recommend The Clachan in Dornie for an excellent dinner menu! I'm sure there are others too...

Sea Crest is comfy, roomy and set in a beautiful position with easy access to Nostie Bay which is peaceful and tranquil.
Great location for fishing boating and simming with Kyle only 8 miles up the road for supplies.
Beds not very comfy and we took or own duvets.
Owners very friendly but left us to get on with our holiday.

Left on 06/14/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This is a clean and comfortable, basic cabin. Electricity meter was no problem and in a very sunny May week, the two of us didn't even use £5 of the coins we brought. There is a slight musty smell you get used to - suggest a few plug in air fresheners may help. However, this property is all about location location location - it is second to none and utterly silent, with the lochside within seconds of the cabin. Lovely walks on beach, along road and in owners' wood. Other places of interest such as Skye, Plockton, Eilean Donan castle, Applecross, Glenelg all within easy reach. The owners are lovely and if needed, very helpful. It was very difficult to leave this place! We came home and immediately booked the cabin nearer the lochside for the autumn.

The chalet stands in a beautiful location right at the waters edge, with views towards Skye, various birds visit at all times of the day, and we even saw a deer swimming in the loch. We were made welcome by the owners, who helped us with information and queries. Very enjoyable stay.

Stayed in Seacrest recently and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The chalet was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It had everything in it to enable us to have a great holiday. The location is a fantastic base for travelling around. It was very dog friendly loads of walks around. The owners were really friendly and helpful. A peaceful and relaxing environment. We came back on Saturday 21st and had the following years trip to Sea Nymph the other chalet next to Seacrest within two hours of being back.

Left on 05/10/2011 for a stay in April 2011
At first we were put off by the cabin. It had a damp musty smell on arrival, decor is basic and and we hadn't realised that electricity was on a £1 meter. The shower didn't work but Derek was brilliant and had it mended by the Monday even tho' it was a Bank Holiday. Now that is what I call great service. The cabin very quickly became home and it was really quick to heat up and surprisingly cheap... although it cooled down very quickly which I found frustrating - I had a sense the cabin was not insulated and I find that a real bug-bear in the context of environmental attentiveness.
It was a great location with lots in easy reach of a car ride - Skye, Plockton and beyond. we cycled, walked, ran, kayaked, did a boat trip - something different everyday.
To improve it I would insulate the roof , consider solar panels for heating the hot water (which we rarely did as it took so long). See if you can sort out the musty smell, have the heating on in the Cabin for an hour before folk arrive to make it a bit more welcoming.
In summary - if you want a relatively inexpensive holiday with great countryside around to explore, this is a pretty good deal. -

Left on 11/30/2010 for a stay in August 2010
When we arrived we were unloading our belongings into our lodge accompanied by the gentleman on site when his wife arrived and offered us the other lodge which was alongside the loch. We were happy with our original choice but once we saw the view from the loch side we took our belongings down there. It was probably the nicest location we have ever stayed in. We found the couple in charge of the site very friendly and very helpful.

We have stayed here three times so it cant be bad can it? It is so peaceful and Derek and Jane make you so welcome. If you want any info they find it for you and deliver it a.s.a.p which is usually within 15 minutes. It is quite and peaceful just right to recharge the worn down batteries of the inner soul. We like quiet open spaces rather then towns to visit and we are not dissappointed. We never have enough time to do all we want, hence another visit planned. The vacation home is well equiped to cook any meal you need. It is warm and cosy and clean.
