Oceanfront house on Islesboro,Maine.Beautiful,quiet and restorative home setting on a quiet cove on the north end of the island.Private beach with hiking trails and biking galore.One unobtrusive neighbor and lots of privacy in this three bedroom A-frame house.Completely furnished with a queen and single bed in each bedroom,one bath, neat kitchen and large common room overlooking a deck and the bay on Sabbathday Harbor.Great deck for reading or lounging,digital tv for movies, game console and loads of board games.Its a great family house with a warm wood stove and a loft bedroom overlooking the deck and bay.

Islesboro is an island off the coast of Camden,Maine.It is accessed by the Maine State Ferry service which operates out of Lincolnville Beach,Maine four miles north of Camden on route 1.The ferry runs hourly from Lincolnville terminal to the island, costs about $15 for car and driver and $3 for each passenger.Reservations are limited but available.The island has two full grocery stores, lots of beaches,a small airport, tennis and a golf course.There is a B&B; on island for extra quests and is a great safe biking island.

Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in September 2011
You leave the asphalt for a cruched granite road and park at the top of the hill. As you step from the car you turn to look down through the trees toward the cove. Then you see it! Half way down, on the brow of the hill, the a-frame says "come on in." Have been there a dozen times with wife, sometimes with kids sometimes with friends. The entire back wall of the structure is glass and alows a private, through the spruce, view of water that you're convinced has never been seen before or since. Private stairs down to the water and you can collect enough mussels to go with your pasta for tonight's meal. Can't wait for next year!
