lüle apartment is located in an elegant 19th century building 100m away from the beautiful Galata Tower. The building has a lovely original marble stairwell and the apartment is freshly decorated and a very recent renovation. The street below is mostly residential and quiet, allowing for restful sleep.
There are two good-sized double bedrooms (one with double bed and one with twin beds that can be put together) plus a third small, internal double bedroom. With its genuine, very welcoming community and intriguing mix of cafes, restaurants, small grocery shops and artistic boutiques, we think it’s the most interesting part of Istanbul. No matter where you wander, you will always find your way back to Galata Tower, which has been a well-loved landmark for the last 700 years.
Metro, bus, tram and ferry stops are all only a couple of minutes’ walk away. You can be in Sultanahmet (for the big sights of Ayasofya, Topkapı, Blue Mosque etc.) in about 15 minutes by public transport or 40 minutes on foot. In the other direction, by Metro, you can be in Şişli (for Istanbul’s biggest shopping mall) in 20 minutes or Levent (for Istanbul’s business district) in 25 minutes.

Das Äußere der Unterkunft ist etwas heruntergekommen, die Wohnung selbst aber sehr sauber,ruhig und geräumig. Für 5 Personen bestens geeignet, obgleich leider nur ein Bad vorhanden ist. Unsere 5 köpfige Familie fühlte sich in der Wohnung und auch im Viertel sehr sicher.
Ca. 50 m unterhalb des Galata Turmes gelegen ein idealer Standpunkt um Istanbul zu Fuß zu erkunden. Bis zur Galata Brücke ca 10 min steil den Berg hinunter und zur Istikal Cadesi ca 5 min den Berg hoch. Kleiner Supermarkt und ein paar Restaurants/Cafes direkt um den Turm und ansonsten ein nettes Viertel. Der Kontakt zum wirklich sehr netten Vermieter ( Fuat ) klappte per Handy hervorragend und man konnte ihn auch jederzeit erreichen. -

First of all, we were impressed by the charming welcome of Fuad. He helped us a lot and was available for us.
The apartment was perfect for 5 persons (the 6th bed is less practical). The location next to galata tower is great to reach the old town (very easily) and also the taxim square to go dancing -

Fuat welcomed us with some hints and very friendly as aways in Turkey. We had a perfect stay, the apartmant was very nice, everything as seen on pictures, nice decoration and best were excellent cushions and beds without the usual neck problems in hotel beds. around and plenty of restaurants and going oout for breakfast from 7,50 TL to 15 TL was also excellent.
For taxi, be prepared to have a map with you or tell Galata Tower as destination as it was not always easy for the taxi drivers.
For next stay will rebook Lüle or with Tarkan. -

Our group of 5 people really appreciated this appartment due to the following reasons:
- the communication with the owner was very friedly and smooth
- the appartment is located right in the centre of the city - very easy to reach everything on foot
- despite the centre, it is a very calm place to work/sleep
- the flat is big enough for 6 people (a composable bed can be easily put anywhere else if someone needs more privacy)
- the kitchen equipment is a very good standard (washing machine, dish washer...)
- the only inconvenience is just one bathroom (one WC) which is for more people problematic in "rush hours":)
- it is a very good value for money

Even we had a description, it took some time via a taxi to find the location coming from the airport. But being there, it's really ideal to explore Istanbul by food and easy to find it again. The outside of the house doesn't look so nice, but inside you find everything you need,very clean,very good kitchen, television, wireless, bedrooms, heating if needed...,
If you like shopping in the evening, good restaurants, where you see not only tourists, young people nearby the Galata Tower, Taxims, it's better to stay in this area. In only think you hear is the Muezzin three times a day. Haghia Sofia, Tokapi, Grand Bazar, Cruise ships.. you can reach via max 20-30 min by food.

We are a family of 4; Mom, Dad and college age son and daughter. This was our first visit to wonderful Istanbul. The apartment could not have been more perfect. It's newly renovated and is lovely and perfectly clean. It is very spacious as well. We loved the location. It is a few minutes from the bustle of Istikal St. A few minutes in the other direction brings you to the tram to the old city. We also walked to the historic old city in about a half hour over the beautiful Galata bridge.The immediate area is lively and charming and filled with wonderful restaurants and shops. We felt this was a better location than the old city; not touristy at all but still very busy. The landlord met us at the apt. and was extremely nice and helpful.I have no negatives to report!
