Galata is the old Genoese district of Istanbul with a long history opposite of the Historical Peninsula. Just a few minutes down the hill will lead you to the Galata Bridge which is nearly directly connected to the Egyptian Bazar and several of the major mosques of the Ottoman Empire. Such a location allows relatively easy access to all parts of the city, as there's a metro station nearby and most of the tourist destinations are easily reached by foot.
In terms of shopping, there's a wide variety of shops; in Galata, many young designers have small boutiques and just a few steps away on Istiklal Street, the big pedestrian avenue, you can find more mainstream clothing shops including a few bargain-basement outlets. And, with restaurants for various price ranges and two supermarkets close-by, as well as countless convenient stores, daily necessities are not in short supply.

After a week in a really nice hotel situated in sultanahmet we decided to stay in the city and moved spontaneously into this flat. It was a real upgrade . The staff was very welcoming, always helpful with every issue and had lots of tips.
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, furnished with unique style, the kitchen really modern, the table big. Never before had we token our shower with a view over a marvellous city,
And it is this overwhelming view which makes it hard to leave the appartment for trips - and so easy just to sit there and l o o k. Some geniously placed mirrors allow you to see even more from every place you choose to sit.
The 5 stairs you have to climb up are worth every step.
It is located totally central for every kind of excursion, and you live really quiet - but its only a few steps - and you are in the middle of cool vivid life!
We are a family with two children aged 20 and 18 and all of us were Totally charmed by this week.

This apartment is absolutly the best place to stay in Istanbul! It's in the 5th floor with no elevator but it's worth to climb the stairs. The view ist outstanding!
It's located in a very small, quiet street right next to the Galata-tower. From there everything is in walking distance.
The apartment ist very clean and and has everything you need to have a perfect stay. The pictures show you how it looks but when you're there it's even better!
The renter is extremely nice and he did everything to make us feel at home and welcome!
We had a perfect stay in Istanbul in this apartment and would always come back! -

We were the end of March in Istanbul and had a memorable stay.
It started at the airport, we were greeted by our friendly "guide"
and in our beautiful apartment which had a magnificent view over Istanbul brought.
The apartment was super clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our holiday.
In this package booked a day was included tour guide, but have still 2 more days like this book because we were led to wonderful places and corners, where we would have never discovered alone. This was of course that the tour guide was very attractive and nice :-) Round, we had a memorable stay and be happy again, maybe even come back next year.

My week in Istanbul was very interesting. I've learned so much about the city and the people there. One of the reasons my week was great was the beautiful flat over looking Istanbul and the great travel guide I had. The flat is big enough for five persons and it has everything in it that you would need for an agreeable abidance. The guides of Living-Istanbul were very nice and handled everything professionally. The city tour we had was also very interesting and informative. The guides know a lot about the city and the people so they were able to answer any questions we had. If you want to have an unforgettable trip to the beautiful metropolis of Istanbul, which is not like any standard holiday, then Living-Istanbul is the right contact for you.
