My husband and I stayed at Deris Bosphorus Lodge for 3 nights following a wonderful Mediterranean cruise. it worked very well for our needs. close proximity to the tram and funicular. 5 minute walk to a very pleasant park on the water front. local restaurants & grocers within easy walking distance. be prepared to walk a lot of steps - but that's Istanbul. This place is not for someone who expects many hotel service amenities, but the receptionist was very helpful and we were offered assistance with our luggage. i felt very safe here.

My husband and I used the apartment as a base for 6 days in March 2013, it is beautifully kept and the staff were absoutley fantastic, even down to locating a rug for us. The location overlooks the fairy wharf on the Bosphorus River with good views of the old town. Although there are not a lot of resturants around there a 2 well stocked food markets 3 minutes up the road and also a good fruit and vege shop. Security is very high and we would definately recommend this location to all.

My fiance visited Istanbul for the first time and stayed at the Deris Bosphorus Lodge for 5 nights and would not change anything! Ebru and the staff were so helpful and sweet which made our visit to Istanbul a memorable one! We definitely will be back and refer the apartment to our friends and family.

I just got back from a 2 day stay at Deris Bosphorus Lodge and had a wonderful stay. The employees were very helpful and all speak English, which was nice when needing directions or arranging a taxi for our departure. The kitchen was fully equipped and well set up, as well as the bathrooms and living room. I was comfortable and relaxed during my entire stay. Thank you Deris Bosphorus Lodge!

Stayed at deris bosphorus lodge for xmas and the newyear and the appartment was amazing very clean and modern they come and clean your room every other day and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The appartment is in the perfect location outside they is the metro where u can get on for just 3 turkish lira and go to so many different places.Anyone thinking of going to Istanbul this is the place to stay.

The place was very comfortable, available everything I need from kitchenware, and a washing machine, and the flat with toilet, and another one with shower , the staff were friendly with me , I loved everything there .

After a lot of searching and indescision due to the huge availability of serviced apartments in the Taksim, Cihangir area we chose the Deris for its location close to Kabatas ferry/metro station. Haing visited Istanbul many times it was important to have comfort and accesable transport links.
Deris filled the role beautifully, our transfer driver found the place although the tiny street above the main road was jammed and we held up traffic whilst we decamped.
A secire entrance door, leads into a "designer tunnel" leding to the lift(s) required to get to the apartments one row back from the actual street side apartments.
A morning arrival casued no probelms as the staff brought our baggage up to reception and via prior arrangement held it till the apartment was available.
The receptionist was polite, friendly, helpful and ever so nice. She pointed out a very handy, very big coffee shop close by to chill for a couple of hours. (Take plenty of Lira chocolate addicts).
Check in was easy, smooth and understandable. On entrance to the apartment we were impressed by the layout, quality and comfort. Separate a/C systems for lounge and bedroom, TV, secure WiFi, a fully equipt kitchen, all for the price of a good hotel.
Location and comfort are must haves for us and Deris ticked the boxes. Security was first class, comfort a given, and with an Istanbul Card all charged up we could get to most places we needed in the city.
A great stay all around for ourselves and our 5yo daughter, though the lack of English language tv was a minor negative for her. Turkish TV will broaden her knowledge base and language skills I am sure.
A mionor plus point, twice we asked reception to order food "Paket Servis", twice they called up online menus at reception for us, placed the order and assisted the delivery guy when he came to the apartment door with the delivery.
If you like Istanbul and understand it many quirks the Deris will fulfill your requirements.
I will stay again.

The staff who work here are great, helpfull and attentive. The apartments are well appointed, the showers are unreal!!
The apartments are well located to the trams, Taskim and other main areas of Istanbul.
They have all the facilities like WiFi, laundry etc that you expect nowdays
Only downsides were 1) the lease agreement was initally overwhelming and 2) there were no maps available to take from reception to orientate yourself with the city. -

We now look to stay at an apartment when we take an extended international vacation as we find that they can match or exceed top-end hotels at much better rates. Deris Bosphorus Lodge definitely fit the bill! We spent a week there. Making the reservation was easy, and they were responsive.
The rooms were exactly as pictured on their website. If anything, the rooms were actually nicer than those pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, and even an espresso maker. The staff sent ahead a 'shopping' list so that the kitchen could be stocked with groceries before we arrived. We took advantage and they did a nice job with quality food. Bathrooms had nice robes supplied with them. The rain-forest shower was great! Bed was comfortable. I used the Wifi extensively, and had no issues.
The Lodge is located next to the Ferry landing, and the Kabatas tram stop. More importantly, it's located next to the vernacular which whisks you directly up to Taksim Square (110 seconds). It really made getting around easy. (FYI, we did not have a car in Istanbul.) I would also put in a plug for Kahve Dunyasi, http://www.kahvedunyasi.com/en, which is a fantastic cafe and dessert place about 50 feet from the front door of the Lodge.
There was a full time staff on site who helped us numerous times. They scheduled a reservation for the Whirling Dervishes. They ordered pizza delivery for us a couple times (yeah, yeah, I know, sue us!). They arranged for a taxi to pick us up for a drive to the airport at 4:00 am. They say that they come to clean every three days, but it seemed more frequent than that. Regardless, the place was always clean. Service was always with a smile on their face.
You might be able to find a less expensive place, but you won't get a better value for your dollar (or euro). -

Stayed over Christmas 2010. The apartment was amazing. Booked through lastminute.com which only gave the place 3star rating. I really don't see how this could be the case as it was immaculate.
Great sized apartment with a well equipped kitchen. The shower was just the best... A big rain shower head was great.
The location couldn't be better right next to the funicular stop and tram stop giving you easy and quick access to the old town and taksim etc.
The service was one of the best features. I am sorry I can't recall the name of the lady on the front desk, but she was great. Answered all the questions we had, greated us with a smile every morning and even bought us a box of chocolates to wish us a happy new year, she even showed us how the metro and funicular tokens worked the station when she was leaving work.
Would highly recomend a stay here. -

The apartment overlooks the Bosphorous which provides for a fantastic view of the bridge. More importantly, the building is new and all interiors/ameneties are extremely modern. One of our local friends in Turkey visited us and was stunned at the interiors. Kabatash is a central location with ferry access right outside the building. Tramway is also right outside the apartment. So, basically, all tourist attractions in Sultanahment, Taksim, Grand Market, Eminomu are minutes away by the tramway. Upscale towns such as Bebek, Ortokoy are accessible by taxi - 25 minute ride for about 20 TL. Or if you have the patience, you can take a bus which is the cheaper and time consuming option. Staff at the apartment was extremely helpful and courteous.
The only minor drawback which is not really a drawback is that there are 3 elevators to use, unless you want to take the stairs.
