      Amazing vacation

Left on 05/21/2013 for a stay in May 2013

I rent the house for 5 nights during May 2013 for vacation and family gathering with 8 adults and 3 kids, the house was wonderful and we had a very pleasant timing and memories. The house is fully equipped with all requirements, owner was very cooperative and helpful. In our 3rd day we decided to spent all time at house to do barbeque and walking in the nice and quiet town. At night you can hear birds sound while at morning you can have a breathtaking and amazing breakfast at backyard garden.
I strongly recommend it, and I wish if I could have a chance to rent it again next year for at least 2 weeks - hopefully.

      Perfect for large families

Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013

The house is comfortable in general, with spacious and clean rooms. The beds are comfortable. Nice and well-equipped kitchen. The house has a huge living room and nice garden with terrace. The village is very small and people are friendly. There were many excellent restaurants (fresh fish), meals are very good and well priced. There is a bakery and other shops where you can buy your own materials to cook. Location is about 25 km to Istanbul. Transport to Istanbul is with ferry and bus or metro. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in accommodating us. It was wonderful place to stay. Thanks again.

Nice stay in very good house

Left on 04/06/2013 for a stay in September 2012

In September 2012 I visited the Eurocorr 2012 conference on corrosion. Since Istanbul seemed us to be a great city, my wife and I decided to combine the conference visit with a vacation. Together with our two little children (3 and 1 years old) and a friend of us, we stayed for two weeks in the house mentioned above. It was a great experience! Ilhan arranged a transfer for us from atatürk airport. This was an excellent idea, since, especially with two children and a lot of luggage, it is not advisable to make this trip by public transportation. Ilhan welcomed us at the house. The house is very large and everything was clean. Ilhan bought some first groceries for us, so that we did not have to bother about that and we felt almost directly at home. Both the conference location (Sheraton Maslak hotel) and the city center are pretty easy to reach by public transportation. |Going by ferry across the Bosphorus to Sariyer and further by bus gives the most scenic view. However, especially during rush hour, this can be quite time consuming. Going by fast ferry from Sariyer or Beykoz, directly to the city center was often a better idea, although this is not such a frequent connection. During the evenings we were able to sit at the balcony enjoying the scenic Bosphorus view until eleven. After a very nice stay, we returned to The Netherlands very satisfied about this vacation!

The great experience was worth it

Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Elegant hotel.Old Ottoman Style and great location as it is located very close to small harbour only takes 3 minutes by walk to reach and after 15 minutes-bosphorus trip, from Sariyer District you can go easily anywhere in the city !! Wonderful staff/owner who welcomed us in the house! (Thanks Mr.?lhan - anytime 7/24 possible to reach him by phone! so it is very important cause if you prefer to stay a house like this instead of a hotel..) All the rooms were absolutely lovely and clean..Each room has a ceiling ventilator and air-conditioning at the sitting room.. In sum ; we stayed just couple of nights but the great experience was worth it. Next time probably I am gonna stay at least a week..

      Pleasant Stay

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The House is spacious, it has a nice garden with a barbecue space, a terrace with a nice view and the internet was working well.

The house is far from the city which gives a good feeling of living in the country side, there are small shops and a bakery near it.
The neighborhood is safe, peaceful and quite, but you have to get used to the dogs barking in the middle of the night.
Unfortunately there was no a/C in the house and only 2 bathrooms which is inconvenient for a big family, also the stairs had no ramp which is a bit dangerous for kids, and the fact that it is far from the City makes you spend money in transport.
Overall, it was a very good experience, the owner was pleasant and the staff very helpful.
