There are few cities in the world that can rival Florence, Italy for its rich history and beauty .This lovely and cosy apartment with view on a Florentine medieval charming street, located on the second floor with lift (50 sqm) is extremely centrally situated, a few minutes by walk from the Uffizi Museum, the Cathedral, the Ponte Vecchio and all of Florence's major historical sights, pubs, bars and restaurants. Bronze equestrian statue of Great Duke Cosimo I by Giambologna (1594)
Fontana del Nettuno (Fountain of Neptune) by Ammannati (1575)
Palazzo Vecchio - Built by Arnolfo di Cambio between 1299 and 1304. When Florence was the capital of Italy from 1865 to 1871 it housed the Chamber of Deputies and the Foreign Ministry. A copy of the David is left of the entrance to the Palazzo. The original is now in the Academy Museum. Another sculpture of Hercules and Cacus, by Baccio Bandinelli, is to the right of the entrance.
The Loggia di Lanzi aka Loggia della Signoria, is a building on the corner. It was built between 1376 and 1382 and is open to the street and full of statues such as the bronze statue of Perseus with the Head of Medusa and many others.
The Galleria degli Uffizi entrance is on the southeast side of the square and right next to the Palazzo. A short walk to the south is the Arno River and southwest is the Ponte Vecchio.
